Am I the only one finding the possibility of one of the 4 uni ambassadors being Enchanté boring af?? Like.. imagine one of them really is Enchanté, so what? He won't end up with Theo anyway so it's unnecessary drama if you ask me, but yeah I don't think it's one of the 4 anyway..
I would say Enchanté is
either
Akk
or Theo
if it's Akk I would LOVE to see flashbacks in the later episodes, if it's Theo it's probably because he wants to make Akk jealous or whatever.
Well, let's wait and see!
Oh, I'm the exact opposite. Well, to clarify, I'm not the -exact- opposite. I don't think it's any of the ambassadors. I just don't want it to be Akk at all.
So, let's be clear, the idea that Enchante isn't Akk and thus isn't the endgame is very important to how I view the show going. Because the idea, for me, is that Theo is still lost in books and lost in stories and that the person who is, truly, Enchante is just another example of that.
Enchante is an idea but it's not a real idea. Enchante is a daydream of a lonely child, the idea of someone who just needs anyone, the desperate hope of someone with no one else.
Akk is a real person.
Akk is someone next to Theo who he can't afford to lose, someone that matters no matter what, someone that he loves and needs and wants but doesn't know how to trust.
I don't see how or why this would be Theo. It just... doesn't make sense with the story we're being told? Or the character of Theo. He has no reason to make Akk jealous or to want him to be jealous or to think that this would make him jealous. Akk has always been the one to leave Theo alone, not the other way around.
I can accept if it's Akk. I can see that, since that'd be more playing with the idea of coming back full circle to the stories that brought them together as children and the shared words that Theo brought to Akk.
But I want it to be a stranger. Not one of the ambassadors, not Akk, not Theo, just someone else who saw the book and acted out this dream but, as it turned out, has no idea who Theo is besides a few words on a page.
It's the perfect drama because the true drama of this story isn't about who Theo picks. We know Akk is the end choice and the one he truly loves. The drama is about why he picks Akk and how he picks Akk and the way that choice comes to him.
It's about him rejecting his fragmented self and reaching past the page of a book, past his own tendency to isolate and daydream, past his own fears and pain, and finally reaching out to Akk the way he's always wanted to reach out to Akk and pulling him into that main character role beside him.
Could Akk be Enchante? Sure. He might be. That'd be a different kind of twist, one about Akk always being the one Theo didn't see and his dedication to making sure Theo wasn't alone.
I can't call which twist is actually happening, I mean, I don't know.
But I'm on the side of it not being Akk. Because Enchante is still a fantasy, a daydream, and Akk is real.
