to this day i think it's stupidly hilarious that they tried to make us believe Candice was the victim in the situation when her relationship with Jon paralleled Ally's relationship with Jon-El

#'believe me take this x-k it'll make you better' and 'believe me merging with your other self will make you better' #both jon and jon-el got themselves into toxic relationships bc they were hurting #and clung to the first person who made them feel heard/seen and protected that person no matter what bc they were afraid to be alone again #candice just wanted someone to take the fall for her and ally wanted a loyal solider who'd always listen to her #jon and jon-el still made bad decisions but at least there's a logical reason for both #instead of 'lol teenager rebellion' #though i will say jon-el's situation makes me sadder #bc he's a kid who was preyed on by an adult who took advantage of him and his pain #superman and lois
