This was a personal coding project that didn't come to fruition but I was proud of the opening animation on scroll. I might eventually finish this up and release it as a premade but until then, it'll be a lil portfolio piece.

snow on the beach (wip)

another day, another wip. this time its the ethereal snow on the beach, by taylor swift. its very comforting, on days when real life hits a little too hard and getting up from bed takes more energy than usual.

i really like how it turned out though, i think the color scheme helped capture the wispy-ness of the song. this has a lot more patterns than i usually use, but i like how it all seems to meld well together in a sort of... scrapbook type charm. it probably would suit a more modern, maybe small town aesthetic? i think.

i also loved how i now know (after ten million years haha) how to code a simple side-by-side forum with forums that stretch if they're the lone ones in their row.

Still trucking along 8) I've learned a lot with this wip for the short amount of time I've tinkered with it. I'm really enjoying "unconventional" conventional postrows.

(The skin changes site-wide accent colours based on user input, so the gaudy pink/yellow combination you're seeing in the topbar is 100% my fault and only visible to me on that account - don't blame the design keke)

Here it is, our big boy! Cerberus will be my first pre-made Jcink skin for sale, I've decided to go for a rather minimalistic but still elegant aesthetic, mixing dark and light tones to create something easy on the eyes. This skin will come with many useful scripts, including a mini-profile, word-counter, etc etc. The next step will be to customize the main profile and mini-profile, since the structure is already settled and doing some last preparations before making it available for purchase. The initial price will be $60, although I might add more fully customized templates ( apart from the ones I'll add to this one ) for $10 after the skin is released - I'm not sure, but I'd like to hear your feedback!

Coming back to this WIP skin, and it's amazing looking at the code. I've learnt so much this year! It shows even in the little things, like the amount of CSS shorthand I use. But I've got to say I am still very much vibing with the contained feel of this skin. Especially with the header on the header on mobile. I need to stick a new avatar in, though. Alas, the old one disappeared when nickpic went down.

I'm thinking of dusting off the code and selling the skin as a multi-sale. Would anyone be interested? I'm definitely going to overhaul the forum row and board stats, though. I've got a much clearer idea of how I want them to look now. Anyway, it's a fun little side project.

I've been on vacation but finally got back to this & to keep myself accountable I'm posting this update even if It's only one view, it is a fairly intricate work of a mockup. This is the default desktop post view for an IC account, the OOC will simply have some elements changed slightly, not enough to need a variant made.

Fallingwater (WIP)

As you can see I started this skin over a year ago (lol) and I am not yet sure if it's worth finishing! I just finished the first semester of my PhD so things have been busy here but I really would love to get back into being creative (& making some supplemental income because of how sad my grad stipend is). So this is me putting out a feeler for this skin...I have a few other projects cooking as well but at this rate it looks like I can complete a skin probably once a year. To be honest, I'm pretty unfamiliar with a lot of the newer features people seem to prefer (here I am experimenting with dark mode) but I am working on keeping my codes accessible and usable as best I can!

Almost done!! Profile in normal and mobile view, with automatic participated threads tracker and character details (entire second tab) that get pulled from a dev thread. Pop-up multi-char automatic thread tracker. Sortable and filterable isotope member list. Aka I haven’t slept much this past week, lol.

I've been playing a lot of HSR recently and I needed to stretch my legs a little bit on something new. I love the idea of a site vaguely themed off it's aesthetic so here we are: an HSR inspired header, with character groups based off of the "paths" for characters. As an added bonus, I put unspeakable horrors (re: the aeons) behind the header text :)

i call this one "project: star rail" as an obvious moniker for where i got the inspiration.

From crude mock-ups in photoshop to a finished-enough something, the sculpting process in skinning kind of looks a little like this for me. Its responsive-ish, which is pretty cool for someone who doesn't really have an interest in responsive design.
