If Alpey and Jaba got ice cream together, which flavours do you think they’d choose? 🤔🍨🍨
From the way Jabari acts, some people would mistake him to be a pretty boring guy when it comes to tastes in food. He's a creature of comfort who, if uncomfortable, will battle and yell with all the ferocity of a territorial lemming to regain it. However, some people tend to oversee that comfort and luxury can come hand in hand. Jabari is not the man who will play it safe, he will squint at the ice cream's menu and carefully select one of the most obscure options ever after conducting some serious research either beforehand or during the process. This research includes asking the employees what they think of the dessert. Even if there's a line of hungry kids and their late to work parents waiting behind him, Jabari will hush the ground so he can calculate All the options to come to a stable conclusion that Yes, this Is, in fact, The Best choice of item to spend my money on. He probably likes combinations, like an upside down banana split or something odd like that. If he's buying ice cream at a place that's stabilized itself by making good ice cream, it can't just be any ice cream he can just buy at a store then. It has to be THEIR SPECIAL ice cream. He's here for luxury and specifics, whatever the ice cream store says they can do the best, like, actually do in terms of making it, sprucing it up with syrups and fruits, and decorating it all nice and different, mixing it, etc, he'll buy it. I feel like he'd be one of those people that buys those really fancy overloaded ice cream shakes where there's like syrup or crumbs decorating the outside of the cup like sugar on an alcoholic beverage and there's a brownie bar on top for extra extra appearance appeal.
Meanwhile, alpey just wants some Dondurma, which is a Turkish ice cream notable for its hard texture and melt resistance, so he brings his own special knife and fork sets, one for him, one for jaba so they can cut into their ice cream bricks :] !! He's fond of the sweeter flavors, but they can't be artifical. ... sadly, there is no delicious Dondurma, and the ice cream just melts and slips between the slits of his special fork with much despair and pity. His ice cream lacks the sweetness and realness he desires, and they have no honey !!!! It's not stretchy or chewy at all! the texture is almost nothing !!!
It's okay, though, because Jabari orders him something special off the menu, an ornate mixture of various fruits and syrups and decorative pizzazz that they both end up using their forks to eat it. The creature of luxury cannot stand to see his fellow critter in need lack his own creaturely comforts. Before Jabari orders Alpey a new unique ice cream, he coaxes (demands) alpey to try a spoo-forkful of the carefully considered dessert of Jabari's choosing. Once he can tell Alpey likes Jabari's ice cream more than the simple and safe one he chose, Jabari buys Alpey something similar but with more sweetness. Cue another hour long research session that makes the poor teenagers groan as they watch their line grow longer and longer behind the happy couple(?) clinging onto their weird little forks instead of spoons.

Where to get cheap Clothes and Kicks/Shoes (mostly at retail)....
So you may see many people on your Instagram recommended or on the street flexing or a.k.a showing off what they just got from the new supreme drop or the newest shoes that came out recently. What if I told you not all these items people get are actually expensive and can sometimes be cheap in retail compare to which most people show off the resell value. For instance, the last shoe that dropped recently was the Acronym collaboration with Nike in the Nike Acronym presto. These have been one of the most hyped or requested items for months and finally it came on 9/20/18, with the retail price being two hundred dollars plus the California tax of 9.5%-15%. Recently on my Instagram feed, all I have been seeing is people getting 1 out of the 3 that dropped and saying that they got in for resell instead of retail.
Tumblr media
This is certain people’s way of showing off to the public and acting like they can drop four hundred on a sneaker then in reality they got it for half the price at retail. This also effects people that want to buy somethings exclusive or hyped but then think they can’t afford it due to these people. In the end of the blog post I will link some sites to buy cheap clothes and shoes, which I personally like. I know most people would not want to spend over a hundred dollars on a pair of jeans with some designer name on it, but yet still want the similar style or design. My personal preference would be to either not buy or stop buying your designer brand like Mike Amiri or Balmain which can retail from about six hundred dollars to two thousand. I personally buy your common Levi’s, Hollister, Aeropostal, and even dickies. Sometimes I would even buy from places like zara, H & M, forever 21 (Men), and pacsun which in my personal opinion has good quality. These range from about twenty bucks to almost a hundred, depending on the design which is still better that Off-White or Gucci jeans or pants in general. I can even compare quality with my regular Pacsun jeans to a pair of Mike Amiri jeans I had bought about 2 years ago, with the Mike Amiri fading only after 2 years compare to my Levi’s from 3 years before with the Levi’s looking way better in looks but for style I would go for Amiri because of it’s customization which a cheaper version would be Minimal Los Angeles.
Tumblr media
I personally don’t really care for my pants due to them being hidden most the time during school, which I put my most expenses on my tops and shoes. For shoes, almost everyone knows about the local footlocker, champs, shoe palace, foot action, Shirek and so on. But these are known to the sneaker community as your average everyday, decent sneaker or shoe store. The shoe stores I actually go to now are more high end and exclusive. Most people might say that they don’t have these stores and they are only in Los Angeles, but that actually false because most areas with a big population have these stores called consignments or boutiques. My example of this would be Ezkicks Ontario, because this sneaker boutique is near my high school I-poly and they have good deals for all kinds of people. A sneaker consignment shop near I-poly is Post Culture Chino Hills with this shop being more expensive at the same time, with them selling the more high end sneakers. This shop in Diamond Bar, called Bait is a legit sneaker store, supplied by Adidas, Nike, Vans, and other brands. This place has all brand new shoes and clothes for people, but the benefit is that they are all for retail and not resell prices, which is way cheaper. For my average tops, it’s basically the same as my jeans with me buying most of my tops from the local malls and sometimes I buy from the more high end shops above. Buying most tops online, in my opinion is a good thing due to most of the exclusive stores that sell the things people want are far away. My example would be A Bathing Ape, West Hollywood, Los Angeles; with the store being far away from my house, I am forced to buy these things online due to the distance and this helps me save my time of going to the store and hassle of Los Angeles traffic. Some companies I will include have bad customer service such as the brands Anti Social Social Club (ASSC-the actual name), Vlone friends, and Fear of God. The creators Neek Lurk (ASSC), Jabari Shelton a.k.a A$AP Bari (Vlone), and Jerry Lorenzo of Fear of God are known for their bad customer service, rude comments, and not respecting women (actually legit). I recommend shopping online, except certain brands like the ones above, because it saves time, gives discounts, and has less of a hassle on people that have to travel to their nearest stores or far away stores. I would like to conclude that there are many ways of getting cheap clothes and shoes, it would just take time and effort to get it.

Buyer Beware: Not all the things in the shops links are new, and they are not really cheap shops, so I would bring about $50 minimum.

Hey, it’s football!
Last week, we were treated to an absolutely wild Week 0 game between Central Arkansas and Austin Peay. There was a touchdown on the first play, a team with no long snapper, a quarterback who punted seven times, a guy running over a box fan, and, of course, the Crampton Bowl.
The Bears pulled out a last minute win against the Governors, and while it a lone FCS game in August doesn’t a season make, it was a nice treat for those who watched it. And if you’re like me, your itch was scratched, and now you just can’t stop scratching.
College football is back, baby.
This week, we have nine college football games on tap. While there aren’t any marquee matchups or P5 teams playing, there’s still plenty on the menu if you know where to look.
Thursday, September 3
I told you, it’s no feast, but two of Alabama’s five FBS programs are taking the field tonight.
Central Arkansas, the nation’s only 1-0 team, heads to Birmingham to play UAB, The Blazers have been a force to be reckoned with since their return from purgatory. Bill Clark’s squad sported a top 30 SP+ defense last season, and returns practically everyone. With any kind of offense this season, they’ll be a strong contender for the CUSA crown.
WAKE UP COLLEGE FOOTBALL, IT’S GAMEDAY IN BIRMINGHAM‼️ UAB opens the 2020 season tonight against Central Arkansas. Kick is set for 7 p.m. CST at Legion Field.#WinAsOne pic.twitter.com/B1kbxZiz3a

The FBS-only game of the night pits Southern Miss at USA on CBSSN, and I’m already feeling like this has a chance to get weird. Southern Miss is a two touchdown favorite, and an 8:00 local kick means this thing might become our first #AfterDark game of the year.
If you have ways of watching both ESPN3 and CBSSN, I recommend flipping between the two matchups. There isn’t a ton of national appeal here, but two home-state schools is something.
Verdict - Channel Flip
Saturday, September 5th
Again, this Saturday isn’t really about quality, but football is football, right?
Thanks to tv deals, the game I want to see most isn’t on ESPN, but instead CBSSN. Randy Stockstill is in his 15th season as head coach of the Blue Raiders, making him the 6th longest tenure head coach in college football. He has a chance to have his best offense to date this season, returning his QB (who passed for 2,600 and ran for 1,100 last year), four of five starting OL, and eight of the top nine receiving targets, on top of a pair of grad transfer running backs from West Virginia and Florida State. If you value experience in an offense, these guys have it in spades.
Meanwhile, Army is one of everyone’s favorite teams to root for. They replace a lot of talent on both sides of the ball this year, although QB Jabari Laws (a great Army name) shined in limited action last season.
ESPN has a triple header on deck, although you can effectively skip EKU @ Marshall unless your cravings just can’t wait. SMU was one of the most fun teams in the G5 to watch last season, with Shane Buechele throwing the ball all over the yard and hitting on a ton of deep balls. They return most of their offense but lose a lot on the defensive front, but Texas State shouldn’t put up much of a fight to the Pony Express. Expect a lot of points from Dallas’s hometown squad.

In the night slot, the only option really is the Red Wolves heading down I-555 to take on Memphis. Memphis has been one of the best G5 programs of the last five years or so, but Saturday begins the Ryan Silverfield era. Silverfield, now only 40, has been coaching football for 21 years. You read that right - he never played college football, instead jumping immediately into coaching as a freshman in college. He’s been all over the place - high schools in Florida and Georgia, a DIII college in Virginia, an FCS team, UCF, the NFL for seven years, a few months at Arizona State, and Memphis since 2016. Mind you, he’s never been a head coach before. None of that necessarily means much when it comes to on-field product, and the Tigers will be going into the season having recently had their star running back Kenneth Gainwell opt out. Still, I’m interested to see how Silverfield handles his first season as a head coach.
Verdict - Without a marquee game, just keep football on in the background. MTSU-Army in the afternoon, SMU-Texas State during dinner, and Arkansas State-Memphis at bed time.
Monday, September 7th
After a few years on the decline in a post-Keenan Reynolds world, Navy came roaring back to life last season, sneaking into the SP+ top 20. The Middies will have to suffer quite a bit of turnover, specifically at QB and LB, but Navy has shown they are uniquely evolved to withstand a certain amount of turnover due to their system. Meanwhile BYU has been on a slow decline since moving to independent football, to the point where they’re barely still a top 60 SP+ program. The offense graded out as consistently average last year, and a young and disastrous defense from 2019 should have some experience under its belt now.
If you close your eyes and squint hard enough, this is can be a prime-time showdown for week 1. But like I said... squint.
