capriclonus forget what the other person said I am a huge-ER fan!! Karlach and shart are honestly really cute together and I 100% get where both you and other anon are coming from lol. Karlach is defo the little spoon in my opinion and I am a firm believer of shart having to comfort Karlach over a lizard or something small with like soft cuddles haha. I think they're really sweet together. Karlach's really mean goat + Selunite!Shart's animals = Karlach finally getting the chance to see all of Faerun's creatures :)

But yes, all perspectives of Karlach/Shart are completely true and valid and that's that. A ship is a ship is a ship--that's the beauty of characters, we can read so much into them!

With that said.....Holy hell, Shart would DEFINITELY comfort Karlach over a little lizard.

I mean let's face it...People? Karlach will kill those deserving without hesitation. Animals? They've never done a thing wrong. She'd cry before she hurt one. She'd accidentally crush a snail beneath her foot or something and the crunch would kill her off--Shadowheart would have to wrap her lil arms around her big softie and kiss her sadness away. I think the beauty in their relationship lies in the fact that life ends: both of them are too aware of it in entirely different ways, and it would only power their love more. They'd learn to find comfort in it, to practice joy actively.

They are very sweet together! I think writing them on Shadowheart's farm together could possibly be the cutest thing I could ever write in my life.
