Orange juice anon again because I wanted to take the oportunity to talk about something I have noticed in moc and it is the talk of fate, bc it seems to be a recurrent talk through the chapters and I love the contrast it has <3 like with Hongjoong fate seems to be a hopeful light in his character. He thinks his fate is to find the sirens and the treasure and he is determined to do it. We saw that when yn told him she was a siren, even mc herself says that she saw hope on him.

On the other side, fate is bitter for Yeosang and Wooyoung, because is has been mentioned how they apparently weren't meant to meet let alone be together, and now they are just playing blind and trying to ignore the painful truth waiting to be separated. They are even divided about it, Yeo kind of just accepted it and wants to protect and enjoy what they have as long as they can, Woo let's himself be carried by the hope of it somehow being a lie and both being able to stay together. And my guess is that deep within him, Yeosang also has a sparkle of hope, small but still there. Maybe part of his character arc will be to give in into his more emotional part, ignoring his elitist nature and trying to fight for their happy ending, and we know boy is stubborn, so he wouldn't give up without putting a good fight lmao

Now, the way I see it, the theme of fate in moc could end up being two ways: either the 'nothing is set on stone, fate is what you want and make it to be' or the 'you can't outrun fate, even if you try to escape it, it will eventualy come clashing to you' but either way, we know that pain would come with both options, because even if it is up to you, how many sacrifices you need to do to get to it? And if its the second option, then we would have the impotence of being unable to do anything other than observe as what you love the most crumbles before you

Ahhh honestly I'm scared, but we know that great series such as moc always come with a big heartbreak that will bite us on the butt. I'm just gonna hope for our fav crew to be able to find peace and a happy ending with Yeosang and yn having roast battles, Jongho, San, Woo and Yunho freely being the crackheads they are cheering to either of them (ofc including Mingi, the newest addition to their chaos mix), with Joong watching them in the back with a little smile while Hwa tries to push him into the mess 😔😔💔

honestly tho that’s really,,, exactly what i have been trying to evoke throughout the story. there are some themes interwoven throughout but fate is definitely the most prominent one, and it’s the one i turn back to the most, and i try to show the different sides and views on fate. where some believe in it, some don’t, some think you can change it, some see it as a prison, i really try my best to encapsulate the full spectrum of what fate is and the conflicts and fears that come along with it. even in characters where it’s not specifically mentioned, a whole chunk of mingi’s arc and the debates surrounding him were based on the question of ‘is it his fate to be this way’/‘can he change the way he inherently is by fate’

and you’re exactly 100% right in how woosang interpret fate in themselves. i think woosang have one of the most popular relationships in the series along with y/n and san, which honestly has surprised me bc they don’t have that picture perfect relationship. they don’t agree on everything, they’re split and divided, they argue and fight sometimes, and it’s not a pretty relationship from the outside looking in, but i think part of what makes them that more popular pair is bc of how fate is interwoven in their story, and that’s why it’s so enjoyable for me to write it!

and actually you’re psychic to some degree bc in my notes for the story i have the concept of fate written out and with it the branching path of making your own fate vs fate makes you, and that’s definitely the most prevalent theme in the underlying bits of the story. it’s really a lose lose situation either way you look at it because of those sacrifices and things you have to suffer to either get what you want or realize you can’t get what you want all the time.

while i still don’t know what the ending will look like or how it definitely ends ends... i do know i want a happy ending and i want these characters to be happy and at peace however that manifests ahhh it makes me emotional to even think about honestly 😭💔

Eufh, it's been a hot minute 😪 I took a 'small' break from everything bc life and exams got hectic so I had to handle that which suCked fkdcks but I survived!! Somehow!! I got some catching up to do with your kinktober fics but pfhhhh that will be binged in one day ;)

caly that was a big ass bomb you dropped at us bc if we remember from previous chapters and that weird wooyoung scene where he was soeaking something yn didn't understand,,, OBVIOUSLY ITS THE REALITY NOW?? NIW ACTUALLY HAPPENED?? but what's the connection in the end, we still don't know and why did yeosang and wooyoung act like they didn't know her- WHAT DO THEY KNOW BC THEY DEFINITELY KNOW ALOT FKSMFK AND IM STILL CURIOUS ABOUT HONGJOONGS REAL CLASS BC AT THIS POINT CALY I WOUDLNT BE SURPISED HES A SIREN TOO

but omg... The scene with wooyoung lashing out at yeosang, literally breaks my heart for them I just want to give that boy a hug 🥺 BUT SOOJIN,, just when I thought we would be getting crumbs between those two, jisung had to take yn away- JISUNG,, THAT BASTARD,, IM SRSLY- *angrily punches air* can't wait for queen yn to beat his aSS already istg 🤚🏼

As you can see there are a lot of emotions jfnskd and j swear miss caly,, I'll become more active and talkative again now, alright?? 😭 crossing my fingers I don't get swamped in work and assignments and also sending love for blessing us with your talent 😗 mwah - 🌧

you came back at the perfect time i had wanted to drop 41 out of nowhere and luckily for me i got the chance to do exactly that 😎 and at LONG LONG LAST finally.... san has gotten his moment.... mc got the d.... it finally happened .... but then i just had to make it worse huh LKGJLKDFJGLKDF IM SORRY!!!

technically YES altho it’s not explicitly stated, if you have read the previous chapters and remember those lil tidbits 👁👁🍿 what yeosang means is rather clear! and what the connection all is.... we’ll see that soon too, it’s funny because the title of act 6 essentially means ‘uncovering truths’ so act 6 is a big one in terms of revelations and personal conflicts rather than action packed ones! as far as hongjoong’s class i CANT SAY ANYTHING maybe it’ll be revealed or maybe we’re still a little ways off from it 🤐

but then... ahhh the woosang scene the hardest one by far </3 and SOOJIN ugh it hurt to bring her in then have to leave her so quick im excited for her character and luca’s!!! but of course the other man of the hour alongside san.... jisung.... how did we get here what happened he was supposed to be soft 😣 heh im glad it evoked lots of emotions and you enjoyed it that’s always the best news 🥰
