while it's true that a lot of people who love makeup/skincare/femininity/etc. take any critique of industries or social pressures super personally (ie. getting mad at you for critiquing the makeup industry as if you're insulting them personally) in a way that's annoying and bad, it's ALSO extremely true that a lot of the time when people SAY they're critiquing industries or social pressures they are actually just calling some women stupid/dumb/weak/pathetic/traitors/evil, like, very obviously and directly.

#rain speaking! #its so annoying cos i am so pro critiquing the like. makeup industry or whatever #but a lot of u will be like 'any woman who does more skincare than sunscreen is an idiot traitor whos girl brain is too stupid to understan #that shes being used and also she's a bad person whos destroying femininism' #and then when someone is like 'hey this seems bad' ur like 'OH SO I CANT CRITIQUE THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY?????' #we should be able to examine the social pressures/industries/etc. without suggesting that amy fucking sucks for liking drunk elephent #amy can do whatever she fucking wants
