Getting ready to head out and buy more snails for the aquarium! I kinda wanna order them to get more color variety but i always worry too much about shipping animals, even the small aquatic variety.

#most local shops only carry gold and white mystery snails #but i'd really like purple ones some day #it's a similar reason to why i didn't get a ranchu goldfish #most breeders for those are california based in the US or you have to order from from china or japan and boy does that cost an arm and a le #personally i can't afford a single goldfish that costs the same as my entire set up #once shipping is factored in shipping purple mystery snails would probably run me 50$ which still feels a bit steep given they only #live a year or two unless they start breeding #unfortunately the babies make very tasty goldfish snacks #imagine eating your own cleaning crew #the last successful clutch of baby snails i had were when my goldfish were still too small to eat them
