something that was.. odd about visiting my sister is that she's always been very concerned with social activism etc. like i remember years and years ago before i even knew about israel and palestine, getting lectured by her about buying hummus from an israeli company bc of what they were doing to the palestinians. but she had absolutely nothing to say israel and palestine now. the only times we talked abt it was when i brought it up, and she didn't seem to. care? she's been a vegetarian for nearly 20 years now. she has the time and energy to be outwardly disgusted by eating meat, but no energy to dedicate to the palestinians?

#is it antisemitic if i say im afraid it has something to do w her ongoing conversion to judiasm. she and her fiancee are both converting and #to be honest ive gotten. odd vibes about it i guess. just the fact that they can speak positively abt israel (while trying to avoid #the topic at hand as much as possible) seems odd to me at a rime like this. and the fact that she no longer seems to care abt #palestinians now that she is converting to judiasm is strange. like must know that you can be jewish and disapprove of israel at the same #time. #it was just very strange. i can sometimes jump to the worst conclusions abt people but she has the energy to dedicate to #vegetarianism feminism pro-lgbt and fighting antisemitism but nothing left for the palestinians? unfortunately it feels a bit like she only #cares about problems pertaining to her and her identity. and thinking abt the person i looked up to for so long. that... #loss of empathy makes me feel a bit sick if im honest #unfortunately its giving white woman who values animal rights over like. the sanctity of human life. or like. over brown people
