thinking about how, in a lot of fics i’ve read with BotW Link he has a fear of caves. Or, well, trauma around them due to, you know, being dead inside one for a century and locked away.

and then in TotK the world collapsed and suddenly there are caves everywhere. But, they aren’t just new caverns, many of them have ruins inside and I just. I know Link is ~supposed to be a blank slate character~ and all that rot. But like, if this game full of caves and darkness below is supposed to be a sequel to BotW — I dunno. It just feels lacking that we get nothing, no reaction to caves in general, none to what happened to the Shrine, none when you discover what is below the Shrine. I mean, the way they did Link’s reactions to memories in BotW was laughable anyway and obviously I am craving for far more than nintendo will ever give — but what is courage without fear?

Or. It is reasonable to think he should #Yet in game?#His courage is just he has to do this #He has to fight he has to continue he has to win #I love botw/totk link for what i have put into him but i just wish nintendo weren’t such fucking cowards

Thinking about a post I reblogged a few days ago about posting fic outlines to AO3 as is and now I'm wondering if I should post my Bowsario Rapunzel AUs to AO3 as is. The first AU, at least, is more or less settled where it is? I kind of like the bulleted format of it, lol. But also I could probably put it in paragraph format and change little else and it would probably be fine, too. Maybe I could also add or flesh out a scene or two but...I dunno.

As for the second one, though...I'm wondering if I should actually watch Tangled and maybe write Mario and Bowser at that festival (or some version of it). Or in some of the other scenes. But I think that's a slightly different conversation lmao

If I could do Fics With A Plot I'd probably attempt An AU Where Lauffey Dies And Odin Goes "Oh Hey, Frost Dudes, I Had Your Heir All Along :D He's Urs Now :D" Except Because This Is A Shit Plan It Does Not Go At All Well. Because it does bother me. Because I worry too much about fictional monarchies having the 'wrong' rules. D:

#this of course means odin has also has to tell his son “btw we lied to you. GUESS WHAT THO!! I GOT U A JOB!!”#and he sends Thor along because a) characters need other characters to talk to and b) he does in fact expect trouble #and I reckon after some sort of tense Confrontation about how if Lauffey wanted rid of his son he should have the guts to make sure he died #instead of leaving it to fate like a COWARD #Loki would - by power of poshness alone - manage to convince one or two Jotuns that he does indeed count as the heir #meanwhile: existential crisis D: D: D:#but hey free kingdom nothing to sneeze at eh? let's go! we can do this!#except (obviously) no. you can't. there is NO WAY there's nobody out there with a counterclaim.#and if your WORST ENEMY raised your new king (who has a questionable claim) you absolutely manage to find a third cousin from somewhere far #off who also has a shaky claim but - here's the thing - he's not an obvious attempt to impose Odin's puppet on your realm #and then Plot would unfold which is why i cant write this despite my Weird Niche Interests being aroused (NOT LIKE THAT) by this idea #also i would answer the “was there no mother involved? did she not mind the infanticide thing?” (could go either way on that really)#essentially Loki does have Scheming Politician energy but sometimes the task really is just impossible #but perhaps surprisingly the ending is a heartwarming reunion and maybe - MAYBE - some sort of vague apology #because that really was The Worst Fucking Plan Of All Time #okay someone stop me making a new file (you-and-whose-army.rtf) and writing the extensive notes i've now got in my head D:#(but an AU so not really!)#do you want a civil war on jotunheim because this is how you get a civil war on jotunheim #...oh no DO you want a civil war on jotunheim?! The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers are owned by Fox. Fox is now owned by Disney. Thus both shows are liable to be worlds in Kingdom Hearts.

Oh god, I just thought about another Exocolonist AU idea, here me out. What if:

I Was A Teenage Exocolonist, Kingdom Hearts AU More like I Was a Teenage Keyblade Wielder! (I'll stop)

Sol would be Sora in this scenrio, along with Tammy taking the role of Kairi and Dys with Riku. The three grow up peacefully on Destiny Islands... Well, as peaceful as you can be with Sol having strange dreams of far-off lands and Dys continually frustrated with the paradise, wanting to go out and explore other worlds and struggling with a perpetual sense of missing something (maybe it has to do with a twin sister not being there?) Until of course, one stormy night, Sol notices a Tammy being chased by monsters and running in the direction of their secret base. Sol sneaks out of their house and follows her.

Cue in the three being blown away and transported to different places. Sol ending up in a place where they meet Rex and Nomi and oddly aggressive people(?), Tammy rounding up alone and being chased by monsters, only to be protected by Anemone and Cal after an encounter in the woods. And Dys, ending in league with the mysterious Gardeners.

What all three have in common despite their distance from each other? Well, a recurring encounter with a mysterious figure named Sym of course!

Month 4, day 25, Keen demanded I work on him tonight so I did :D Better defined his wings and leg armor, gave him a skirt, rotated everything so he could be nice and big on the canvas and have more room for his wings, and even gave him his emblem and name :D Yeah, he still refuses to change it. He's an asshole, your honor.

hi, yes, hello. i am bad at melee combat and this fight requires me to be MUCH better at dodging and just, melee in general. and guess what?? i am NOT and I have died. multiple times. to this one fight. because i main the bow.

Link: legendary swordsman. when i play him: hmmmmm kinda mediocre at that actually. i went to go to the big fight and hahaha. ahahaha. i am not prepared. You'd think i was cause i finished all the shrines. and yet. death. gonna spend time gathering more supplies, making food, upgrading shit, and trying to figure out how to fucking perfect dodge, something i never did well in botw either.
