i want everyone to remember. for every israeli cry that antisemitism is the fuel for anti zionism, a jewish palestinian is forced to be told the existence of their homeland is appreantly antisemitic. for every plea that israel is a place where all jews can stay safe, a palestinian is not safe in their own home. for every “free israel!” a parent is forced to hold the corpse of their child. this is not a war. this is not a conflict. this is a genocide being tucked under the carpet by people who do not care about hostages, about jewish safety, only about complete and utter control over stolen land. ignoring it or being neutral means you do not care about the lives of millions. nothing, and i mean NOTHING, excuses that. you are just as bad as the people who add to the death toll of this tragedy. along with this, remember to speak up about congo, sudan, ukraine, and (sadly) many others. no group of people should ever have to suffer the extinction of their race.

Just learned Israel bombed Rafah while everyone was watching the Superbowl. If you are somehow unaware, Rafah is the southernmost part of Palestine. There is nowhere else to go. While people were distracted with the Superbowl, Israel bombed the place they said would be safe. 1.4 million people in Rafah.

If you support Israel, you are actively supporting a genocide and I sincerely hope you rot in hell. I don't believe in hell, but I hope it exists for people like you.

I feel hopeless, but I know that will not help. I will continue to boycott. I will continue to help in any way I can. I cannot donate, but I will do whatever I can. While I have not been speaking about Palestine on this account, I have spoken on it in plenty others. I wanted to keep this blog quiet, but that is selfish. So fuck you Israel, fuck you Israel supporters.

If you have ways to help Palestine, reblog this with it. I want to do it myself if I can, and I want anyone this reaches to be able to have those resources as well.

One of my best friends got married at the weekend and his closing words of his speech were “Free Palestine”, and I’ve been thinking about that a lot. Even on his wedding day, one of the happiest days of his life, a day that should be all about him and his bride, that isn’t the only thing on his mind. It can’t be. We’re all thinking about Palestine and the genocide of its people all the time.

All day I’m checking in on the journalists I follow in Gaza, my stomach in a knot until I see they’ve posted again today and they’re at least still alive, but then my heart broken to see what cruel injustice they’re showing us today. All of us with any scrap of humanity are behind Palestine, and passionately, even if the people meant to represent us are reticent or even adamantly refusing to actually represent our wishes. My friends and I are Irish, so we’ve grown up surrounded by pro-Palestine support: it’s huge here and always has been and our government is one of the ~better~ ones in this regard, but this isn’t unique to countries who are politically pro-Palestine. World-wide, I see rallies, protests, demonstrations, from huge crowds of regular people, even in countries whose policies and governments are deeply on the wrong side of history. Those regular people are what I think we should pay attention to.

Don’t lose heart. Don’t give up on Palestinians. Keep following them, keep listening to them, keep supporting them. Keep up the rallies, keep fighting, keep talking. It can be discouraging to see so few governments doing anything about this and news stories misrepresenting the facts, but don’t fall into thinking that nobody cares or give up. I believe people care. Regular people care. It may not be everyone, and it may not be the majority of the people in power, but I believe there are enough of us to help; we can pressure the people in power to listen if we’re loud enough and determined enough, and every single person saved from these atrocities would be worth the world. This is a dire situation. This is urgent. But it’s not over.

There is evil being done in the world but there is decency in humanity and hope is not lost. From the river to the sea, Palestine MUST be free.

Okay, bc apparently some people don't get this: the reason we believe the Rafah attack was intentionally done during the Superbowl is because America is supplying Israel with its weapons. If they continue to lose American supporters, it becomes harder for them to continue this genocide. The more people who know the atrocities they've committed, the more pushback there is, the higher the chance that they will be held accountable is. It's not "Oh, America is apparently the center of the world 🙄" it is "America is Israel's biggest supporter/best asset"

I'm sure other people have different reasons, but this is why I believe it was intentional
