Something I found funny is how many people didn't understand Ben and Devi, and that's like one of my favorite things about this ship. And I'm not talking just about fans, I'm talking in canon. The girls don't understand them, they were like, why would you want to be with him?! but as the story progress, they get it, Devi is Devi when she's with Ben, and it's the same for Ben. Fabiola sees Ben under a different light when Ben talks about Devi breaking his heart, not because it's about Devi but because Ben is vulnerable. Fabiola is like damn you have a heart? And the little smile she gives them with Aneesa at the end of s4, perfect circle. The fact that Paxton gets it like even in s3 Paxton, told Ben, "She had something with you that we don't share" Yes he was talking about them being smart but in S4 when he smiled at them making snarky comments about eachother, he get it now.

I just love that, that EVERY person in Ben and Devi's life ended the show, understanding what they have (obviously, I'm talking about people who know they have a vibe). They did it too, and that's why I'm not worried about their future. They're going to be brilliant together

It's incredible how Ben's decision at the beginning of S4 literally saved benvi, like if he went to that date with Devi.

He was going to be Devi in s3. Remember how Devi was always afraid that Paxton was going to change his mind? That he didn't want her? That she was not enough and every girl was hotter? That she couldn't give him what he wanted? That was going to be Ben in S4 if he went to that Starbucks date and started dating Devi. I still think dating Margot wasn't necessary, but Ben couldn't date Devi just after the boink. They needed time.

Rewatching, and I love how Ben is like 100x more jealous of Des that he was ever of Paxton is so telling because Des and Ben do share some things, he's not just jealous of him because of Devi but because " a weird mix of you and me" like he thinks about what Devi see on boys so much...

Breaking my silence: as a benvi, I can't deny Paxton was a good boyfriend and an amazing one under highschool standards but Devi doesn't ending up with him isn't about how good or sweet he is or because he isn't good for her, is about her agency, is about who she wants. It’s crazy to me that people really thought the logical conclusion to Devi going to Ben with the boink card was going to be a normal relationship.

The logical thing was Ben freaking out BUT DURING THE DATING, giving his record it doesn’t make sense Ben didn’t go to Devi in ep1. Ben always go to Devi and then gets hurt not by Devi more like by himself, he’s dramatic like that (watch his ep in s3) as someone told me months ago (mutual sorry because I don’t remember your user) the logical thing would have being they dating and Ben being a mirror of s3 Devi with Paxton. Ofc Ben would be insecure, I mean Devi did choose him or was trying to just lost her virginity? Devi was in love with him or with Paxton gone he was her second option? I was actually dying for more drama but not cheap drama like Margot dating Ben (which sure I guess it kind of make sense if you try really hard to get it) I was waiting for them to break up because well he was insecure about them and like Paxton say in s3 you can’t convince someone else to be secure if they don’t want to be, the season could have go to different routes but having Ben and Devi dating in a normal relationship since episode 1 wasn’t one of them, that wouldn’t make sense since Ben was hurt during s2 and s3 since he confessed to Fabiola that he was still hurting (IN JUNIOR YEAR! He was hurting about a 2 week relationship a year after because he trusted Devi that much)

So we finish the series again, and I want to thank nhie for doing one thing that's very difficult to do. The made me care about the male love interest and no only in a "Awww I love him, I hope they are happy" Nah, I truly cared about Benjamin Gross as an individual, when I watch a series or movie where is a her story type. I'm like, let's go girlboss, girlfailure, girlgirl,etc. I mean, yes, I like some male love interest, I love some of them... but linked to my beautiful women protagonist. With Ben? I cared about him! Insane!!
