a robot walks in with pixelated kiss marks all over its display screen saying “you should see the other bot” so you go look and there’s just a pile of crushed metal and shattered plastic and torn wires

if you go to an active construction site with lots of heavy machinery and close your eyes you can imagine that’s what gay robot sex sounds like

has anyone figured out what the “thr” in 1000-thr earthmover stands for
or is it just a random letter sequence that doesn’t stand for anything. hmmmm
edit: I see people reblogging this version of the post without the info, so just a note that there is an answer from the devs: it refers to both thor and also the word centaur (pun using the fact that 1000 in japanese is pronounced “sen”). refer to the reblogs for explanatory screenshots from hakita

obsessed with the earthmovers. they're a weapon. they're a home. they're the last stand of a centuries-long war. how many people lived their entire lives on one, knowing nothing else? how many people died to keep them running? how many of them were left scattered, crumbling on the surface of the earth? how much of them remained once they were scavenged for parts?
did they feel pain?
did they feel relief?

when I saw that the ultrakill seasonal event adds santa hats to enemies, I didn't realize that this applied to the story images, too. anyway lmao massive thank you to whoever did this, I laughed at my computer when it came up

okay honestly gabriel ultrakill is quite relatable because I too was all obedient and well-behaved but then I discovered my queerness and transness and realized all that shit was bullshit and I became very angry lol

one of my favourite fun little characterization tidbits about v1 is that once you’ve finished reading (scanning) a book as v1, you throw it
I mean, it makes sense in terms of gameplay needing to go fast and the punching motion etc but there are other ways to do that, and idk consider how you could interpret things differently if the book were just dropped on the ground, or if something else happened

okay so I know people love the idea that the red text is hell speaking to the player but I think that specifically in 7-4, the text is basically just earthmover status/warning messages. given the implication that v1 was created specifically to destroy earthmovers, I think it’s plausible that v1 receiving these messages is due to its design allowing it to interface (wirelessly) with the earthmover’s internal communications
I mean, okay, there’s lots of other possibilities that are just as plausible, but this is how I’ve been perceiving it
