My neighbors might hate me because I love singing while doing everything. Playing phone games? Music. Cleaning? Belting like I'm performing a concert. Walking? You can bet your buttons I have a karaoke track playing.

But I also have the horrible habit of playing one song on loop, and if I don't know then I learn it by picking up that way. But I only know certain lyrics for most of it.

So my neighbors have been hearing bits and pieces of Chronically Cautious all morning. Mostly "So if I'm honest, I think I'm beginning to question how much I want this," which I'm sure is not how they pictured their morning going. And I ended up playing a karaoke track, so that they got to hear the full thing about four times.

#i can hear one neighbor playing video games 24/7 amd another likes to slam his cupboards like they wronged him #so i dont feel too bad #and i keep it within decent noisy times #its noon rn and i started at about 11 or 11:30 #ive been hella productive this morning which has been lovely #i got like six hours of sleep and then took an Adderall so today is going to be great #i showered. washed my face. did an exfoliating face mask (that didnt do much of anything. my skin might be beyond saving) #cut my nails. practiced Chronically Cautious about 50 times while getting dressed #i got dressed in cute af cozy clothes #now im about to go to the coffee shop to do some work on my computer #i have to be the most fuckable person at the coffee shop obviously #eventually i have to clean my tub and tidy and make dinner and a couple other things #i havent had an appetite lately... whovh is bad because i use Hellofresh #they send meals every week and my meals have kind of been stacking up because i dont feel like eating #i should do my dishes... #if i were rich. ill be honest. i would hire someone to clean for me #im a bit of a messy person and it just stacks up #especially since my apartment is pretty small. theres nowhere for the mess to go except places that a mess doesnt belong #especially my table... thats pretty bad. and my dishes. and laundry all over the floor #i have my apartment divided into spaces for different things. right. #table is for eating. desk for working. rug for recreation/crafts. bed for sleeping (im srill bad at not using my phone there tho) #but my table gets messy so its hard to eat there and my rug gets laundry so i dont want to sit there (and i need to vacuum it) #i need either an actual Adderall prescription (im used ti get it from a coworker but we dont work together anymore so im almost out of it) #or a bigger apartment. or enough money to hire a housekeeper #none of these are very feasible #but at least im productive today. so maybe ill get some cleaning done #i just realized im addicted to parentheses today #maybe i should get a library card... i live right next to a library why dont i have a library card? #sorry that was fairly unrelated. anyway have a good day i love you all

friend and i saw FNAF

it was a pretty fun movie !

i think it kinda. fell apart at the end a little lol. but it was fun and frankly i think thats all that really mattered. the animatronics looked so fucking good.

a bit cheesy in some parts but i went in expecting Not A Lot. blumhouse kinda produces a lot of everything, not all of it good, but i did have hopes that bc of the importance of the franchise as a sort of idk, neo horror monolith (is that anything) itd be good. and it was!

Fucking. Kids in the audience though. Im about to beat the shit out of children. They do NOT know how to behave in a theatre.

fnaf movie is actually great!

me and the gang dressed up and hit up the movies

i tried really hard to make some kind of costume out of the things i had laying around. it was so rushed i didn't even got a chance to take a proper pic. foxy's hook is kinda broken already bc everything was held up by a single drop of super glue and spit i collected while watching old lore videos and drooling

a few words about the movie itself. that was honestly such a pleasant experience i even cried out of excitement. i am not mad at noisy people bc i was the noisy people. and if that bothered someone im sorry. in my defense containing myself was hard af. i was absolutely shaking trying not to "hur hur hur hur" every time freddy appeared on the screen. and i am kinda mad some of the "og fans" were bullying others for liking this meme. like- not keeping up with the fnaf fandom is a skill issue, get your head out of your ass

overall i am very pleased with the decisions film makers made. like completely alternative timeline and plot, cast, writing. nothing about this movie is perfect (except fot animatronics design) but everything's in its place and does its job right. i believe there is objectively nothing to complain about so i'm happy to say i like fnaf movie wholeheartedly

Totally unrelated but i have a question about adhd: how did you do as a kid? (Sorry for being noisy i'm just struggling so much to get a diagnosis cause i was a gifted kid and a calm one and blah blah blah, but i genuinely don't know what else could it be and even the docs don't know so :))) it would be so helpful to hear someone else experience! Only if you're comfortable sharing obv)

Okay so, i only got diagnosed like a couple of years ago so as a kid... shit idek. Some things make sense in retrospect when i think about them now, and i havent unpacked a lot of shit from my childhood yet so idk how much help i will be. So firstly i am hugging you. Then.

I was a kid like 20yrs ago, and i was gifted, precocious, smart af kid with parents that encouraged me in everything i did, and as you may notice, i generally have a very forceful personality and a high opinion of myself, which was always the case. So i coasted on intelligence a lot, only doing assignments at last moment and all that classic stuff. As for the emotional disregulation, you gotta understand that adhd wasnt a thing 20-30yrs ago. Not even as a concept, not where im from. So i always knew i had a lot of emotions but i trained myself to control them, tho i really, really didnt succeed a lot of the time. I am also very charming and can talk my way out of almost anything, so i used that and all the other leverage to minimise the possible negative impact of what i now know was adhd shit on my life. I also think i was very lucky because i had a father that stood by my side come hell or high water, and i knew that even if i did fuck up, he'd support me without question, and a mother that would do the same, albeit in a different way (adhd has a genetic component and im p sure i got it from my momma). There were a lot of things that couldve probs be handled better, but hey, spilled milk and all that shit, im too tired to cry about it now. Kaiidth. :)

I think i was just quite lucky in some things. Also, my adhd got so much worse during covid than it ever was before, but the quality of life improved for me immensely after i finally got the correct diagnosis and meds. Before that, i just kinda ran with it? Adapted? Figured out ways to cheat the system (my awful brain)?

I dont know if this is in any way helpful. I hope you get the right diagnosis as soon as possible fron the bottom of my heart.

well today hasnt been great. tuesday we noticed a leak by out living room window and a crack in the screen. notified our landlord. chalked it up to snow from outside, put plastic over your windows. cool, we cant, we’re fucking broke af. now today, a waterfall (and i mean WATERFALL) of a leak sprang in our bedroom. had to practically evacuate our entire bed to our living room and just about everything else into our kitchen. our cats are stressed, WE’RE stressed. i had to call off of work like i didnt want to bc im barely getting hours as is (thankfully my HR person in charge of scheduling told me not to worry bout it and she’d schedule me in for tomorrow). come to find out from our landlord the fucking inspection guy from FUCKING JUNE decided to stupidly turn off the wrong valve to the broiler and freeze everyone in our building, which caused the pipe to burst (hence the obnoxious flooded). now my s/o and i are sitting here, worn out from dealing with people coming in and out of our apartment and everything else going on. pretty much having to wait for someone the landlord knows to come and cut open the bedroom ceiling to check out the piping and hopefully fix the damn thing, and hopefully also get new windows bc SURPRISE those weren’t replaced before we’d moved in despite this being the newest renovation. we havent even been here a whole year and its been one thing after another: noisy af neighbors (in both senses of the matter), letting their dogs bark and howl and PISS right outside our window at all hours of the day despite there being a sound ordnance, the AC broke not even at the end of summer and WE supposedly have to replace it (like we’ve the money for that), the bathroom door is chipped to shit, blamed us tenants for an infestation even tho said bugs CAME FROM THE FUCKING SINK PIPING AND PROBABLY THE DUMPSTER THATS RIGHT OUTSIDE, and now this bullshit. that’s not including us not having much to eat rn bc like i said poor and bills literally take all my money. we just want a break.
