ok like ao3 is the superior platform. OBVIOUSLY. im not arguing against that. but let’s be real, wattpad really popped off with the ability to make comments on every individual paragraph. ao3 take notes

#i was thinking about why i used to be so good at leaving comments before i started reading on ao3 #its because i was on wattpad before #and they had this feature #please i have stuff to say i just need to say it immediately in the moment or else ill forget! #also it fostered a really strong sense of community #i love ao3 but its always felt a little more separated to me #on wattpad i remember i used to make friends with frequent commenters and have conversations in the side comments #i know ao3 is nonprofit and features are hard to create #im just saying. we as a society need to remember what wattpad gave us #i am abit biased because wattpad made me a writer #which is kind of a big deal #im a creative writing major now #cloudy rambles
