Okay but my genuine answer is I dont hold much love for celebrities in the first place, call me cynical but I'm just not a fan of people who put their lives up for sale pretending to be genuine, when it's all just an act. Even the stuff that they pass off as "their real lives"... even if they're not bullshitting all of it, they still get to pick and choose what they want to be public, ya know. Even the stuff that celebrities share that's true, it's not fully real, because every single thing we know about them is what they (or smear media) WANT us to know about them.

So I've got beef with celebrity culture as a whole to begin with.

What I find annoying about Tom Holland specifically isn't even about him so much as it is my cynicism about a certain marketing technique that he's currently the head of- fake leaks.

Not fake as in "the information he's giving out isn't true" but fake as in "this isn't a leak- it's staged".

Okay so please note that this is NOT a 100% confirmed fact. It's just based on my observations!!!! It's a THEORY of mine!!!!

However, I find it real fucking suspicious that Tom Holland is well known amongst fans and non-fans alike for accidentally leaking info on future marvel films. It's all "haha he's so airheaded!!! Haha how does he still have a job??" But I think he still has a job because Disney WANTS these "leaks" to happen.

The first few times were probably genuine mistakes, yeah. Like he probably DID accidentally slip up, and got in trouble for it. But come on, the MCU thinks they're the fucking CIA of movie studios. They don't even give their actors full scripts!!! Like they've got fucking nuclear launch codes on those things that only the President Himself is allowed to see!!! And yet Tom Holland slips up time and time again, and keeps being invited back for more...

Tom Holland is beloved by fans, and I get it! He's the youngest (looking, idk how old he actually is), he's arguably attractive, he's charming. Everything Marvel could want as an allure for new, younger fans. The first few times he slipped up, yeah, he probably got in trouble, but the fanbase ATE IT UP. And suddenly, there's a new kind of advertising made available to them.

It wouldn't have worked with any other actor- they're too old, too experienced, they already have reputations. But Tom Holland was new, and gaining popularity fast. He was perfect!! The studio needs to keep hype up between official trailer and press releases, and letting their new and insanely popular young actor "let slip" a few details every once in a while is the perfect way to do that.

It's a great marketing technique- honestly i wish i had been the one to come up with it. And it fucking works!!!! Tom Holland gets a reputation as a cute, clumsy little airhead who's just endearing enough that the studio keeps him on, and the MCU keeps their hype train rolling, and the public eats it up.

Oh, and also I think his mouth is shaped weird.

hello there friends , i’m cath (she/her pronouns) i don’t have a lot to say but here is my newest muse miss ruby she’s high key influenced by natalie barrett from sarah dessen’s once and for all !! liking this guarantees an im from me !

word on the street is that (ruby mckinnon) looks a lot like (phoebe tonkin) I don’t know if I myself can see it since (she) is very (steadfast) and (reticent). I know they work as (event planner) and they are (twenty-eight) but that’s pretty much all I know, I guess we’ll have to keep an eye on (her) to find out more.

history;

ruby comes from a v religious moderately wealthy catholic family in upstate new york. raised by nanny’s when she was super young and attending catholic private schools and all that jazz. because of this she doesn’t really have a relationship with her parents, like they were just kinda there sometimes and not there other times?? but one thing for sure was her mother and father always made sure she attended church services

growing up the only child she always got what she, that pony got it, the newest trends and outfits got it. so she was kinda a spoiled brat. because of this she was pretty popular in school. 

despite this strict upbringing ruby never had a rebellious stage, she was just kinda your average girl. she only occasionally lied about where she was going, only attended one or two high school parties, didn’t sleep around

it was destined for ruby to follow her father’s footsteps and attend harvard, she was a third time legacy after all. she was on a pre-law track.

this was when she went hog wild. she was away from her parent’s for the first time and could do whatever she wanted basically. she slept around, drank all the time, dabbled in drugs, partied constantly, the whole nine yards. but she still maintained her sweet girl image when coming home and to her parents

in her senior year (she could see the home stretch) she met a guy, a trust fund baby of a wealthy wealthy family in portland, maine. she fell head of heels for him. he ended up convincing her to drop out of school and moving to a tiny tiny farming town about 2 hours away fro davisdale where they would live in this log cabin and start a farm and sell at the local farmer’s market. because she was so in love with him she followed him blindly leaving her degree and any protests from her parents behind her

they lived roughly here for about 4 years, barely scraping by without money from either of their parents and fighting about it constantly. ruby made jewelry and bouquets to sell at the local farmers market while working at jcpenny’s bridal section. this is where he love for events and planning stemmed from. people started coming into the store requesting her specifically for help on their wedding stuff. she began creating a list of local vendors and event spaces. 

around this time and a slip up of birth control ruby found out she was pregnant. which caused her boyfriend to cut and run. turns out he had been in contact with his family for a year and they were willing to give him his trust if he left her and came home.

heartbroken, preggo and broke ruby tried to contact her parents and they wanted nothing to do with her for having a baby out of wed lock and dropping out of school. they basically disowned her

with nothing else to do she picked herself up dusted herself off and moved to davisdale (she heard it was an up and coming city and it was in the area) to open her event planning business; ruby’s affairs, and soon after she gave birth to owen thomas stephenson. 

her business and owen became her whole world and she focused all her energy on them; her business prospered and now she is one of the most saught after planners in the area

now owen is 2 years old and she has been living in davisdale for 2 years now 

personality;

she is hella closed off unless you know her, and that takes time and effort because of her shitty past

she has a crazy cynical view on love l because of her past despite her job. she sleeps around a A LOT and doesn’t believe in love at all. she hardly ever let’s any romantic partner know she has a kid because he’s her whole world

you cross her and she will take you down
