General question for all my fellow biology nerds out there -

We've spent a year and change sanitizing the heck out of everything - high touch surfaces and our hands.

What's the likelihood we've selected for various strains of viruses and bacteria that are resistant to our normal sanitization methods?

#biology #microbiology #virology #this is definitely not me low key trying to figure out how the heck i managed to get a cold when i sanitize everything #if it is a cold #my mother thinks it's allergies #news flash mother this ain't allergies #it's not too bad #i actually like that wearing a fask mask is so normalized right now #im fully vaccinated but fully intend to wear this mask for as long as i feel lousy #im going to a wedding in three days i can NOT be sick #come on immune system do your job #adding some more tags because i forgot other possibilities here #factors might be a better word but whatever #yeah i don't know if im sick or my body is just yelling at me for only getting six hours of sleep a night for the last week #also ive had to do more talking in the last four days than ive had to do basically all year #at a much louder volume too #yeah being chronically sleep deprived and constantly yelling at small children #probably isn't good for my health regardless of whether or not i have a cold
