the reviews r comin in hot and it sounds like this episode is gonna make me Big Sad for a hot second, but at least the sound design will be good as hell

oh man, even the trigger warnings down below got me feelin apprehensive. how they gonna fit all of that into one episode, huh???

the whole. the ride happening and the character’s paralleling the ongoing fight? especially after directly makin andromeda a foil for juno at the beginning. that’s amazing and smart

its not. i mean. i wish wlw characters could live and die like any other character without me havin to consider whether it was too “bury your gays” because. of fucking course it’s not? coming from these writers especially, who know how goddamn important it is to show representation. they should be allowed to make that choice? i should be allowed to agree that it was the right choice for the story and not feel like i’m supposed to go hunt them down with torches and pitchforks. so. im heading this off at the pass. im not gonna debate about it because frankly kevin and sophie deserve better. save the criticism for the straight writers who have been getting away with that shit for decades. im not participating in any discourse about it. i’ll probably block it if i see it.

well, it’s. it is a kind of character development but . i guess the fact that he’s so self-aware about this means there’s a lot of hope for him tbh. but. man, characters who don’t want to be just like their parents are. uh. they’re powerful characters and im emotionally wrecked about them and im not gonna think about why at all please and thank you

i dunno for all i said up above there yeah, i’m pretty sad that rita n yasmin didn’t get their happy ending. i feel bad because i don’t at all wanna be unfair on the writers, but. i mean. i wanted that for em. i don’t think the arc of the episode would have been as good if they’d made yasmin untouchable, but. i did wanna be able to point to this and say “look, there’s girls in love” and now i can’t. it sucks. i guess you’ll catch me not checkin the tag for a while after the episode comes out, quietly mindin my own business and talkin abt the things in this episode i genuinely enjoyed, because it was all really good. i just have to be a little disappointed bc i don’t get a lot of chances to see f/f romance, but it’s by no means any kind of proof that the penumbra writers hate lesbians and i refuse to treat it that way.
