so i am watching 2001: a space odyssey for the first time and . gotta say this is NOT at all what i was expecting

#15 minutes of... monkey..... #i mean its not BAD. just. unexpected #its kinda cool???????? idk #its a lot more. artistic (?) than i expected it to be. its not like the hard cut sci fi im used to seeing #(yet. im only like a half hour into it) #its kinda cool so far. i wanna see hal im soooo excited to see hal. (<< the entire reason im watching rhis rn is #that post that compares hal and glados and the differences between what makes them scary #i saw that post again and i was like. i NEED to know this rn.) #im just!!! surprised that it gets referenced so much i guess ??? it seems like the kind of movie that would be widely regarded as #garbage bc its not punchy enough in the beginning #idk!!!!!!!!!!!! interested 2 watch the rest of it. these r my initial thoights i may come back to this later #reaction time
