A loner waits by the border and asks to join Ivyclan in exchange for their skills in healing. Malangastar welcomes the cat into their ranks, and they are given the name Lambcurl.

Orioledip receives an omen he cannot interpret. He spends the rest of the day mulling over what it could mean, to no avail. Lambcurl seems to show little interest.

Normally Harmony didn’t do things like this, but with the cooler weather hitting the village and there already being quite a few feral cats wandering. This was the best idea she had as she sent out a message to everyone she could think of.

“I was helpin’ in the barn a few weeks ago and found out one o’ the mama cats had a litter o’ kittens. There’s only three o’ ‘em but their eight weeks old and I wanna find ‘em good homes before it gets cold.”

She made sure to attach a photo of the three for everyone to see. “Feel free t’ text and I’ll set up a time ya can come by and see ‘em. They’re super friendly.”

Now it was just a matter of waiting for the kittens to find their forever homes. Maybe if she was lucky, she could find a home for their mom too…

What started out as a quick run through the forest had suddenly taken a dangerous turn for Sonic. At the very corner of his vision he saw the glint and shine of glitchy red cubes. It stopped him dead in his tracks as his heart jumped into his throat, quills and fur on end.

"No... no you're seeing things," Sonic tried to assure himself before shaking his head, but the visions kept popping up.

"I'm still in the cage." There was so much sadness in his voice.

"NO! I'm not- don't-" Hands clasped the side of his head, shutting his eyes tight.

"I'm still in that damn cage, I never got out…" Star continued to mumble to himself repetitively as he opened his eyes again, but they were horribly distant.

Lost in his confusion he began wandering aimlessly, the hallucinations becoming stronger with every step. Even the trees that normally brought him such comfort began to distort and resemble the bars of a prison cell.

Then he froze. Staring at a phantom of his greatest fear. All the color and warmth drained from his face, dizziness washed over his mind... and then he fell.

"What a mess..." Volt spoke almost quietly to himself, staring into the sink where multiple damaged quills sat with the basin. Flecks of dried and fresh blood on the ends that had fallen from his head matched right along with the stains on his hands.

It hurt to no end. So much so that even the hybrid's high pain tolerance was only just making it manageable for him. Another wince came as he passed his hand one more time through his shortened quills to dislodge more into the sink.

Augustus had warned him that it might become a possibility that he would shed the mangled quills when they showed no improvement in healing on their own...

He just hadn't mentioned how much pain came with it. After wiping his hand on a nearby towel, one phone call was made from his nearby handheld.

"[Greta... I need a favor... Can you watch the Inn for a few days? I need some rest.]" He knew the answer before he'd even called, but had to be sure. Then he hung up and went back to his bedroom in hopes of getting some sleep.

A towel was placed over his pillow to attempt to keep the sheets from being stained in the process. When more quills fell out while he tried to get comfortable.

Of course, being who she is, she jumps into a hastily thrown warp ring, and this without a second though... And right before you.

Warp rings were not exactly a precise science, even for the grandmaster.

Sonic's stomach is in knots, his back is killing him, he feels dizzy, and too warm and too cold at the same time...
