8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about.

this isn't really a fandom opinion it's just a general one that i've seen as the story is adapted but like... can we stop acting like percy is this paragon of virtue because if anything he is the paragon of privilege like... richest man in england, is basically a real life john bull. and the way he treats margot during the estrangement aside, he seems to treat the whole pimpernel thing as just a game and while he IS a good person for saving innocents, he 1.) only saves aristocrats in the beginning which..... 😐 do poor people not matter to you percy. and 2.) the way he treats chauvelin in the later books is borderline deranged, ESPECIALLY in sir percy hits back. like he is not this outstanding 100% good guy that adaptations (especially the musical) want to make him out to be. he can't look past his pride and he really doesn't have empathy for anyone who isn't a close comrade so :shrug:. but also sanitizing those character traits just make him feel bland to me so i just.... idk you can't really win with percy. i do like his overly fop persona though, but then again who doesn't lmaooo.

14. that one thing you see in fics all the time.

BEAUTIFUL WRITING, SOME OF THE BEST CHARACTERIZATION I'VE SEEN, AND SOME SPICY PLOTS like i loveee fic writers so much especially in this fandom, especially when they're deleted or unseen scenes in canon like YES. tsp fic writers you have all my love!!! keep doing you!!!

some of the sequels are so bad they're good...... like most of them are shit but damn if i dont skim through eldorado sometimes because that is my guilty pleasure like.
