Inu-oh Part 6

A New Dawn,

Hana and Tomoichi were sitting together underneath the cherry blossom tree. Tomoichi was teaching her on how to play his biwa. Hana slowly began to play trying to copy him, but very out of tune. She sighed and quickly handed it back to Tomoichi.

"Not bad for your first try." Tomoichi laughed.

"Not bad? It sounded like someone stepping on a lot of cats!" Hana said. "I'll never be as good as you. You're amazing at it."

"Well, maybe it just isn't your thing. Singing on the other hand though, that's your talent." Tomoichi spoke.

"You're worse than Inu-oh. I've already told you guys-"

"There you guys are! I've been looking all over for you!" Inu-oh shouted and walked over to them. "What are you doing?"

"Just giving Hana some lessons." Tomoichi replied.

"And I'm terrible at it." Hana spoke.

"Hey, Hana, do you think you can teach me how to dance fight?" Inu-oh quickly asked her. Hana blinked, staring at him confused.

"Why do you want to?" She questioned him.

"It looks interesting! Come on, teach me!" Inu-oh pleaded. Hana sighed and smiled and stood up then walked over to him. She led Inu-oh a few feet away from Tomoichi so he wouldn't get caught in the middle of the practice. The priest went back to playing with is biwa while Hana explained to Inu-oh the steps.

"Okay. The key is to stay on your feet and keep your balance. But I think you've already got that down." Hana laughed. Inu-oh continued to listen to her intensely while Hana continued to explain to him. She moved her hand and lightly tapped Inu-oh on the shoulder to show him where she wanted him to hit her. "You need to use your opponent's force against them and throw them off. Now, I'm going to come at you. I want you to try and block me." Inu-oh quickly nodded.

"Okay!"

Hana quickly moved and charged at him. She was just about a few inches away when it all happened so fast. Hana landed on her butt on the ground hard and she quickly looked up at Inu-oh in shock.

"Did you have a nice fall?" Tomoichi snickered as he still played. Hana blushed, embarrassed.

"I fell on purpose-"

"Admit it! I got you!" Inu-oh laughed. Hana smiled and stood up, brushing herself off.

"Alright, then I guess we can move on to the next step. Blocking and dodging." She spoke and the two continued to practice together until it was almost midday.

There was a large crowd standing around by the riverbank, eagerly waiting for Inu-oh's next performance show. Tomoichi was finishing tuning up his biwa. He was a dark blue kimono, loosely, and one sleeve dangling to the side, revealing his chest. Meanwhile, Inu-oh was getting dressed, putting on a costume he had bought. It was a light purple kimono and a bugaku mask. Hana snuck past the crowd and opened the curtains, seeing the two getting ready.

"It's almost showtime. There's a lot of people out there. More than your last show, Inu-oh." She spoke.

"Then I guess I better not keep them waiting." He said then his placed his hands on Hana's shoulders. "I want you to wait here for a moment, if you would." Hana stared at him confused then glanced over at Tomoichi. "Okay? I will, but why?" She asked.

"You'll see." Inu-oh told her and he pulled back the curtains, stepping onto the stage.

"I am Inu-oh and tonight, everyone, it's going to be different. I am not going to be performing by myself. There is someone who's voice is crying for the world to hear! Let's hear it for Hana!" Inu-oh shouted. Hana's eyes widened and she quickly shook her head.

"What?! This song doesn't require a duet. I thought Inu-oh was going to do it. Did you know about this?!" She hissed at Tomoichi. Tomoichi shook his head.

"I swear didn't!" He quickly told her. Hana felt her heart starting to beat faster and faster. She couldn't move her feet as she was frozen in her spot.

"Seems like she's a little shy. Let's give her around of hands people! Make some noise!" Inu-oh spoke once more. The crowd began to chanting Hana's name over and over again. Hana still didn't move from her spot, and she couldn't breathe. She closed her eyes shut and covered her ears trying to block out the noise. She wanted it all to go away! Inu-oh turned back to curtains wondering why Hana hadn't come out. He went back inside to see Tomoichi bending down next to Hana trying to calm her down. Inu-oh walked over to them, standing next to Tomoichi.

"What's going on?" He asked, confused.

"Inu-oh, Hana can't perform like this, especially in large crowds." Tomoichi spoke. Inu-oh turned back to Hana who was still kneeling on the floor, covering her ears with hands, trembling. Inu-oh bent down to her.

"Hana, breathe. Look at me." He murmured softly and gently took Hana's hands away from her ears. She still didn't look at him, her hands still trembling.

"Don't focus on all of those people out there-"

"That's easy for you to say. You just go for it. It's not easy for me, Inu-oh. I can't do this-" Hana spoke before she cut off by Inu-oh.

"Then sing to me." Hana's eyes widened and she looked up at him. "Just focus on me. It's just us."

"We're all in this together. You can do this!" Tomoichi smiled. Hana gulped hard trying to steady her breathing and nodded.

"Okay."

"Let's do this!" Inu-oh shouted, happily. He guided Hana as they slowly walked towards the curtains and Tomoichi followed behind them, carrying his biwa. His band members followed with him, one holding a large drum while the other a cello. Hana gripped Inu-oh's hand tightly as he led her out and onto the stage, the crowd still cheering and chanting their names. Then they slowly began to grow quiet and waited. Hana opened her mouth and started to sing.

"Another brand new era is dawning.

If we change the world.

If we change the world!"

The drums began to beat louder and louder, getting faster and faster. The crowd immediately stood up and started clapping.

"Let's get rid of everything that bothers us.

Let's transform with the world.

With music, you will make the magic happen.

Close your eyes and the future will open up.

I'll sing this song to make sure it never ends."

Hana smiled and began to sing louder, dancing with Inu-oh. Tomoichi began to play and strum faster.

"Do you wanna play? A real game, unfurl the chain.

Melody strung out like we're walking a tightrope.

Don't wanna try. Don't wanna cry.

I want to forget. Like we're living inside a dream.

I wanna be free!

I can see a new era across the world. Here we go, New World!"

Suddenly, small yellow and white orbs began to appear. The crowd watched in awe and in shock seeing them floating all around. The glowing spirits began to reflect the stage, revealing Hana, Inu-oh and Tomoichi and the the rest of the crew.

"The new era is this future.

If we change the world, if we change it.

Let the endless music reach more and more.

I don't dream, you told me "Trust me."

Hana took Inu-oh's hand and the two of them began to spin around and jumped and flipped into the air. They landed on their hands and stood back on their feet again.

"Say goodbye to everything that's holding you down to.

Transcend beyond reality to colorful worlds of music.

We need to keep on rising.

Close your eyes and take my hand and we're running together.

We don't have to live like this. I know we can do better.

I sing for liberation!"

Hana threw a punch and a kick at Inu-oh and he gracefully moved out of the way then did the same to Hana, who did the same, just as they practiced earlier.

"Do you wanna play? A real game, unfurl the chain.

Melody lighting up the path to New Horizon.

Don't wanna try. Don't wanna cry.

I want to forget it.

I just wanna live in inside a dream.

I wanna be free!

Another brand new era is dawning.

I know that we can!

Create a new world!"

Several cannons went off flashing different colors into the air, spraying confetti. Inu-oh grabbed Hana's hand and spun her around then pulled her back to him.

"We can change the way of our future.

If we try a brand new path. If we change the whole world, if we change it.

Let the endless music reach more and more.

I'll show a dream, I'll show you a dream.

It's a new era!

A new era!"

Hana fell back and Inu-oh caught her with his hand behind her back as the two finished, their arms outstretched as they posed, panting. The crowd cheered and up roared, clapping their hands loudly. Hana turned back to Inu-oh who was waving to the crowd, laughing.

Hana smiled then took the hem of Inu-oh's kimono, pulling him closer to her. Inu-oh blinked in confusion, wondering what she was doing. Hana's lips met with Inu-oh's mask and kissed him. Inu-oh's eyes widened underneath his mask and stood frozen. Tomoichi's eyes widen in surprise but stayed silent while other members of the band gasped in shock. Several people gasped from the crowd and screamed excitedly.

"Yeah! Go, Inu-oh!" Someone shouted from the crowd.

Hana's eyes quickly shot open, realizing what she was doing, and she quickly pulled away from him, covering her mouth.

"I-I'm sorry.."

"Hana..?" Inu-oh still stood stunned, shocked what just happened. Hana quickly shifted her gaze away from him and backed away.

"I'm sorry." She shook her head and she hopped off the stage, running off, while Inu-oh called out to her to come back.

rengoku is so bright and outgoing, you don’t ever need to feel shh when you’re around him. in fact, you guys hit it off so well with your energies bouncing off each other as you blabber about how your days went. you guys are such a talkative couple, some of the pillars get tired of it but neither of you care because when you two are together, no one else in the world matters. that is, until rengoku makes you laugh so loud that oyakata has to come out and tell you guys to quieten down, after which you guys apologise profusely and sheepishly retreat to your own estate to continue your conversation (sanemi scoffs as you guys pass by him, glad you guys got scolded for being too loud). rengoku has a hearty appetite and he loves eating with you, especially since you share such a huge love for food. you guys always surprise each other with snacks and you always make sure to get his favourite: sweet potatoes. he’s always thinking of you when he goes on missions, the ache in his heart from being away from you ever-present. but he always fights hard to stay alive because wants to see you again, the image of you burning in his mind and feuling the fire in his heart.

zen would definitely treat you like a princess and spoil you to no end. he loves and thinks its adorable when you get all shy whenever he flirts with you, so he does it on purpose just so he can see you blush and get all flustered. he’s not a fan of cats (i mean, he’s literally allergic to them) but he loves dogs and would definitely adopt one with you. this boy indulges in your cussing for sure (you guys literally have no filter i swear) and it doesn’t bother him one bit. he absolutely loves cooking for you because he just wants to take care of you and pamper you in every way possible. he‘s the biggest fan of your art, just like you are of his acting. you guys also love jamming together, where you play the guitar and he sings. seven secretly recorded and posted a video of you guys once and it went viral. you then decided to create a youtube channel where yall started posting covers together and eventually, you guys expanded to lifestyle vlogs. when you two cuddle, you lay on his chest as he sings you to sleep, comforted by the feeling of his arms around your waist and the sound of his heart beating only for you. he always makes you feel so special; he’s the prince charming you’ve always wanted.
