You were currently sat at your desk. It was one of the rare days that the bau were in the office, working on paperwork.

You'd been slipping all day and we're finding it increasingly difficult to focus on the folder that sat currently in front of you.

The bau were unaware that you were a regressor. Well apart from Spencer Reid and Aaron Hotchner. They both knew. They had become your caregivers.

Hotch was the first to know after he found you in a cupboard in a hotel after a particularly hard case involving children, he'd noticed how upset you'd been during the case and was originally going to just check up on you, but upon finding you crying, with a pacifier in your mouth he'd had a change of plans. He spent that evening watching over you and then proceeded to approach you on the topic in the morning when you were no longer small.

Spencer had found out soon after. He was good at profiling and had noticed your childlike innocence. He spoke to Hotch who in turn spoke to him about the situation, asking Reid not to mention this to anyone else.

Soon after that interaction there was an incident where you had slipped at work. Hotch was too busy to be able to watch you so Spence volunteered. You ended up having lots of fun with him. And so from that point on both Hotch and Spencer became your caregivers.

Spencer approached you slowly.

"Sweetheart you feeling small..?" He asked you quietly.

You looked up panicked.

"it's okay sweetie.. it's just dada.."

You nodded, tears in your eyes.

"oh it's okay bub.. Do you wanna go see Daddy??"

You nodded again.

Spencer gently took your hand in his own and led you to Hotch's office, knocking gently on the door.

A simple "come in" from Hotch was all it took before Spencer guided you into the room.

"Reid?? What's wrong??" Hotch asked upon seeing you holding his hand.

"They slipped whilst doing some paperwork and I thought it would be best for them to calm down and be regressed in here instead of in the open.." Spencer spoke looking to Hotch.

Hotch gently hugged you.

"do you want to do some colouring kiddo?"

You nodded eagerly.

Aaron took your hand from Reid.

"can you go get their regression bag from the boot of my car??"

"of course"

Reid left to go get your bag whilst Hotch got you settled on the couch in his office.

"now daddy has to carry on working but I'll be in here with you, yeah?"

"mhm.."

"okay Sweetheart."

Reid came back quickly, knocking on the door and then slipping in. He placed the bag down next to you and kissed your forehead.

"I'm going to get back to work before the others start asking questions. Have fun okay bub?"

"okii dada!!"

"okay Reid."

You and Hotch answered.

You ended up colouring 4 different pictures, you chose to do two for each of your caregivers. Labeling 'dada' and 'daddy' on the respective colourings.

Hotch decided to drive both you and Spencer back to Reid's house.

Hotch made you dinner whilst Spencer sat with you reading.

You fell asleep calmly knowing that your caregivers would always be there to help you when needed.

!cg spencer reid and !agere derek morgan headcanons by yours truly:

- derek regresses to anywhere from 5-11, it entirely depends on the mindset he’s in and amount of stress he’s dealing with (more stress = older cuz he’s less comfortable letting go all the way if he has a lot on his plate)

- he tends to regress to 7-10 age range more often because he’s not entirely comfortable letting himself regress entirely

- spencer tries to teach derek chess whenever he’s regressed, but derek usually rolls his eyes after half an hour and wants to go outside

- derek is a tween regressor/trauma regressor (he regresses to the ages where his dad was still alive and tends to seek out reid cuz even though he can take care of himself, he wants a father figure to occupy him)

- derek is a very outdoorsy little who loves playing football with reid in the backyard (he kicks and throws the ball, spencer just tries to throw it back to him)

- spencer reads classic fairy tales and stories to derek when it’s time to put him to bed, derek puts up a fight cuz “he doesn’t need a bedtime story” but he actually loves and appreciates it <33

- derek is really into winnie the pooh. he still tries to hide it cuz he thinks it’s immature. reid regularly reassures him that winnie the pooh is for any age

- spencer keeps at least one winnie the pooh book and the chapter book they’re reading together in his bag, just in case derek regresses suddenly

Summary: Reid falls into headspace after an emotional case and the team and his CG take care of him

Spencer couldn't stop thinking about all the children that the unsub took away.. it was making him anxious and scared just imaging the look on their scared faces.

And he knew his anxious body wanted to go down but he had never gone down in front of so many people before. Much less the whole BAU... even though they all knew he was a little and that Morgan was his main CG.

Spencer tried to shove it down for now. He had to only get through the rest of the flight and then he could be little all he wanted to at home.

He thought it was working but Garcia could tell something was up with him. He was rocking a bit and whimpering to himself, his hands clasped tightly in his lap, tears in his eyes.

Garcia heard the whimpering and glanced over at the baby of the team. "Derek..." She whispered. "Hmm?" Garcia nodded toward Reid who now was close to sobbing. Seeing him cry, Morgan jumped into daddy mode.

He quickly crouched down in front of a very upset Reid, speaking softly. "Hey, baby, baby, what's the matter?"

"Nooo, Nooo!" Reid yelled, hitting his legs with his fists. "Okay, hey, we're not gonna do that.. we're not gonna hit..."

Garcia wanting to help quickly produced a fidget from her purse and handed it to her friend. "Thanks Garcia... here baby, you want Penny's toy?" Surprisingly, Reid took the squishy fidget and squished it in his fist.

Still very upset, Morgan scooped up Reid onto his hip and shushed him as he walked back and forth on the plane, bouncing him a bit.

"You're alright baby, boy, you're okay." Morgan soothed as he paced the jet.

"Is he okay?" Emily asked as she watched, not wanting to crowd the two.

"Yeah, yeah I think it was just a tough case for the bub... Garcia can you grab me his little bag? It's the one with Nemo on it." Happy to help, Garcia dove for the bag, opened it and produced Reid's blankie and handed it to Morgan who with her help wrapped it around the still crying little.

It helped some but he was still hiccuping and crying a little bit. "You'll be just fine baby boy..." Morgan whispered as he sat down and adjusted Spencer in his lap.

"I can make him a bottle... would that help?" Emily asked. "Yeah, yeah thanks." Morgan said as he bounced Spencer a little bit, trying to settle him as he wriggled around trying to get comfy.

As Prentiss went to make Reid his bottle, Garcia found what she was searching for as soon as she realized that her friend had slipped. She held up a tiny little Owl toy in her hand and showed it to Reid as she sat next to Morgan.

"Hey Spencer... Spencer... what's this buddy? What's this?" She jiggled the little stuffed owl in front of his curious eyes. Morgan gasped, smiling at his baby. "What is that baby? Is that your friend?" Spencer finally smiled and reached his little hand out to grab at the random little beanie baby.

Garcia glowed, playing with her little friend. "Hey boy genius, can you say Owl? Ooooowl?" She enunciated the word so it would be easier for him to repeat to her.

Spencer tried to repeat the word but what came out of his mouth sounded less like 'owl' and more like a wolf puppy'st first howl. "Awoooo."

Garcia gasped, clapping. "Good job baby! Owl! That's right smartypants!" Reid giggled and reached out and held Garcia's finger, smiling at her.

"Alright, bon appetit little one, here you go." Emily crowed as she handed Morgan a freshly made bottle of milk. "Thank you Em... baby, can you say thank you?" Morgan asked, looking at Spencer expectantly. Spencer just whined and hid in Morgan's chest.

Morgan tested the bottle and shook it to draw Spencer's attention. "Here wonder boy, you want your bottle?" Spencer turned his head, making grabby hands at the bottle.

"There you go baby. You sir, need to go to sleep." Morgan said, booping Spencer on the nose.

By the end of the bottle, Reid was asleep. And he was asleep for the rest of the flight.

Hi, so this has been sitting in my inbox for a couple days now and I’m not really sure how to respond. I won’t be filling this request, for a couple reasons.

I have in my rules that I don’t write hard drugs but I guess I should specify that I don’t write overdoses either.

Angst requests are fine, I have a couple up on my blog, but I genuinely don’t know where the idea that I’d write something like an overdose came from. It’s an extremely sensitive topic that I’m definitely not comfortable including in any of my writing

And I want to say that sending a request like this into a blog when they haven’t specifically stated that they write these types of stories is crossing boundaries. A request is just that, a request, it’s not commissioned or a job, it’s you sending in an idea to a writer to see if they might want to write it. You need to take into consideration that the you’re sending your idea to a person who has feelings and boundaries. Most fic writers have a list of rules up and I know I’ve had mine up since the first fic I wrote on here, so please please check them.

This part isn’t to the anon in specific (not that the above is targeted) — I’ve gotten more than one request that’s violated my rules in the past month, I’ve deleted them as I know I’ve responded to quite a few on my page already, but it’s making me not want to write. I have rules up and I make them easy to access with a link in my pinned navigation post, yet people don’t respect that. It’s uncomfortable to look at a request that says they love my stories when they clearly haven’t taken five seconds to check what I write for or my rules. Sometimes it’s an honest mistake, asking for a fem reader is an honest mistake and most times I answer those and say they can send the request in with a gn!reader if they’d like, but other things aren’t mistakes. Asking me for a post about reader being a characters significant other isn’t a mistake, all my writing is platonic and I know I’ve said it before; asking me to write hard angst that is clearly against my rules isn’t a mistake.

Fic writers are humans and we have boundaries and I’d appreciate it if they were respected some more.

Storms | Jennifer Jareau x Derek Morgan x Spencer Reid

(This is that storm one-shot I was talking abt @madgaymax )

genre: hurt/comfort, angst

a/n: This was originally supposed to be a one shot of its own but then I got this request and decided to use it, this also has Spencer and Penelope in it instead of just Derek and Jj

warnings: crying, panic attacks, thunderstorms, talk of a case (a teenager is missing but not described in detail)

Jj knew she needed to find Morgan quickly, but she couldn't really do that when her and Spencer are stranded on the side of the road because of a storm. It's loud crashing thunder and bright bolts of lightning has Jj close to tears.

She sniffles as she shifts to hug her knees up to her chest in the back of the SUV. She was driving but Reid suggested they pull over to be safe, giving Jj the opportunity to climb herself into the back seat away from the larger window.

"Jj you okay?" Spencer twists himself where he's still sat in the passenger seat. She tries to think of what to say but all that comes out is a whimper. She wants Derek or Garcia, she needs them, she's little and she needs her caregivers so bad it hurts.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" Spencer's clambering to get to the back as Jj shifts herself more into the seat she's squished against.

"Jj please talk to me, I've never seen you so upset over a storm." That’s because she can almost always predict it and prepare herself for what's to come.

Only Today was spontaneous and to make it worse Jj was already stressed, the case is almost over but there's a teenager missing which hits close to Jj's heart. She remembers being a teenager and bordering on being reckless during weekends, staying out past curfew, sneaking into movies with her friend, talking to boys, all the things this teenager was out doing the Saturday she went missing.

But she also remembers being petrified of thunderstorms as a teenager and how she had begged to grow out of it. To be "mature" to stop "acting like a little kid" which in the long run did way more harm than good as every storm seems a thousand times worse to her little brain. They always feel like the end of the world unless Derek or Garcia are there to cradle her into their chests like they do without fail every time it happens when they're home.

Jj longs to be at their shared house. The one with the three bedrooms even if they almost always end up asleep in the living room together or cuddled into Morgan's bed. She cries even harder at the thought of having his strong protective arms wrapped around her while Penelope whispers sweet things only she could ever make sound so loving.

"Jj tell me how to help, how do I help? I think you're having a panic attack." Reid puts a hand hesitantly on her knee but Jj quickly extends her hand to grasp at the touch. She needs something to ground her.

"Morgan! I want Derek! Get- get Derek!" Penelope is all the way in Virginia and being in Texas does no good in the physical touch element that Jj craves. But Derek's at the station with the rest of the team like normal. All the patrol men should be out right now, searching for their unsub, not in the station and that's about the only plus side to this case.

"Okay, okay, I'll call Morgan." Reid fumbles with his phone before placing it beside Jj.

"Hey Reid where are you guys-?" He can't get the words out as Jj's sobbing even louder. His voice brings a huge wave of comfort yet makes her heart ache more, she wants him here, in person, with her.

"Jj? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He questions rapid fire.

"The- the storm! Der the storms so bad! I- I need you-!" The tears flood heavily when the thunder shakes the car and her grip tightens over Spencer's hand.

"Oh sweetheart, shhh, shhh, it's okay. Im right here. I'll patch in Penny hold on." Jj nods even if Derek can't see it and a few seconds go by before Garcia gives a witty greeting that's cut off by Derek explaining what's going on.

"Oh sugar is the storm bad over there?" Jj shifts to be sat beside Reid with her body slumping into his.

"I want- wanna go home. I want you and Morgan." Jj's chin trembles when she glances through the windshield at the lighting cracking.

"I know sweet girl but the case is almost over, you guys will be home in no time. Do you think Spence can drive you guys back to the station? It's not storming as bad over there." Penny suggests and Reid waits for Jj to nod before he's getting up to the drivers seat and leaving the phone with the girl.

"You gonna be waitin' when I get there?" Jj cradles the phone up to her ear while trying to ease her breathing as Reid inches the car into the road.

"I will be honey and Penny is right here on the phone. Tech genius will make sure the signal won't get lost." Derek chuckles at his own joke and Jj puffs air out of her nose in response, she knows he's right and Garcia would never let their signal be lost in a time like this, she just wishes she could have Penelope here in real life instead.

"I know this is really tough without us both there baby but I'll be waiting when you guys get home." Penelope's sweet voice assures and Jj can almost picture the look on her face. The soft tilt of her lips into a smile, her big brown eyes blinking tenderly, she'd probably put a hand on Jj's cheek to make sure she understood just how much Penelope cared for her. Jj might already know how deeply she's loved by both Morgan and Garcia, she's never against being reminded.

"Hey Jj we're here, we can go see Derek." Spencer kills the engine and while Jj was about to jump up and go running out of the car she stopped- it's not nearly as loud or lightning here but it's pouring. Hard and big raindrops fall from the sky as fast as they can it seems.

"I'll be in our room waiting." Derek pulls Jj from her thoughts and she nods. All she has to do is get to Derek then it'll all be okay.

"Here let me take the phone then we can go together." Spencer takes his phone to slip into his bag before he's climbing out of the car to get Jj's car door open. She's reluctant about actually exiting but takes the hand Reid offers up as he tugs her out of the car to rush through the parking lot.

Jj's shaking as she sprints through the rain, promptly getting soaked, fresh tears start to run down her already blotchy cheeks, her clothes stick uncomfortably to her skin once her and Spencer burst through the door. None of that matters when Jj lays her eyes on Derek and those few tears turn into wailing. Morgan quickly scoops the girl up onto his hip and she clings on harder than she ever has.

"Shhh, it's okay, I have you. It's okay Jj." Her hands bawl fists of Derek's shirt while she stuffs her face into the side of Morgan's neck. He's warm, hot even, a much better temperature to the shivering running down Jj's bones from the rain and Ac the prescient has blowing.

"Honey breathe, you're okay, it's alright. I'm right here love." Derek starts to bounce the girl on his hip as he walks them to one of the closed off rooms. A place usually used to talk to parents of victims but gives them a couch to rest on for a moment or two.

"You feel better?" Derek's hand cards through Jj's hair while she sits up in his lap and lets her head lay against his shoulder with a nod. The rain is almost stopped, just light pitter pattering on the roof instead of the heavy thudding it was.

"Okay sweet girl, you think we can talk to Spencer? He's a bit confused." She nods again. Reid will understand, he'll know all about age regression from the endless facts he has stored away, she also knows he's dealt with it first hand from a case they had when he had first started on the team.

"You guys okay? Better?" Spencer enters hesitantly but sits himself on the chair across from the couch Morgan and Jj are resided on.

"Yeah we are Reid, thanks for asking. We just um- wanted to talk to you." Jj peaks her head up to tilt it to the side and look at Spencer. He smiles softly when he notices the motion.

"Talking would be nice, I'm a bit lost." Derek gives a light chuckle along side Reid's own which calms Jj a bit more for the rest of this conversation. Derek doesn't seem nervous so she shouldn't be either.

“Do you know what a little is?” Derek questions and Jj instantly hides her face back into his neck in embarrassment. Derek and Spencer talk for a few moments that Jj tunes out, she doesn’t want to hear if Reid has a bad reaction or starts to belittle her.

“Sweet girl, Spencer wants to talk to you.” Jj nods to Derek as his hand brushes the hairs off her forehead when she leans back. Spencer’s moved to be beside the pair on the couch and he has a wide grin on his face.

“Hi Jj, I just wanted to say that I will always be someone you can come to when you’re little and upset, or just little in general, I’ll always try to help. You think you can do that?” Reid smiles over to Morgan watching Jj give a hum of understanding.

“Brother Spencer.”

Derek Morgan- flip major caregiver lean, he loves taking care of people and would do anything in his power to protect his little. He’s such a big teddy bear that would happily hold his little into his chest for hours while death glaring anyone even close enough to wake them up. When regressing it’s always rare and probably involuntary, he stays around Garcia, Jj or Reid when small. He’s very happy to sit quietly and hold their hand as opposed to running around playing. He’s very loud and athletic when big or a caregiver so being small is all about de-stressing

Jennifer Jareau- flip with little lean, I’ve talked about this so many times I feel like I don’t need to say much. She’s just a doll and loves to be around her people when small. She favors Derek and Garcia but Hotch and Reid are her second favorites. When she’s in caregiver mode she is so good at it, just pure love, her little could do nothing wrong that ends in anything more than a timeout, she’s extremely gentle and neutering. I love her all around.

Spencer Reid- flip with little lean, much like Jj he likes being around his people when regressed. He sticks to Jj, Garcia and Blake. He’s extremely smart so going small and being able to ignore that all is amazing for him. It also lets him get some of the love he feels is lacking with how quickly he grew up. Then when he is a caregiver it’s all about teaching his little things, he takes care of Ashley a lot and she loves hearing any statics he has to share. He loves curious littles, showing them new things like magic tricks or book brings him immense joy. He’s also pretty use to watching Sean so he gets his fair share of random facts back, they share them, it’s great

Aaron Hotchner- caregiver, it helps him relax more than some would assume. Yes he’s in control all the time but he prefers to be in control of whether or not his little wears two left shoes or not compared to how stressful work can be. He spends a lot of time with Prentiss, Jj and Sean obviously. His brother is probably one of his favorite people to watch since he knows the hell the both of them went through so seeing him carefree is great. But Jj and Prentiss never fail to make him melt just the same.

Penelope Garcia- flip with caregiver lean, a lot would assume she’s a little but Garcia loves to take care of people. She’s a natural at it, helping people and solving problems is something she’s always been good at. When she regresses I think she’d go to Derek and maybe Spencer or jj but mostly Derek. She has nothing against anyone else but Morgan is the easiest person for her to be her true self around. He’s also the perfect cg for her, just lovable and listens very intently

David Rossi- caregiver, but it’s the uncle way. He’d make his little amazing food and get involved in whatever mischief they wanted to do. Definitely the type to say “okay one more” after five times of trying to get his little to bed while watching a show. Emily’s the only little that regresses around him frequently, the others have no problem being small around him but all have their preferred people, Rossi loves that he is Emily’s proffered person. It never fails to make him get a bit teary eyed when he sees a regressed Emily sprinting over yelling his name because she missed him that much.

Emily Prentiss- flip, she doesn’t have a specific lean but she is drastically different between headspaces. When she’s small it’s all about fun and roughhousing while when she’s a caregiver it’s sweet and gentle. She prefers her little side to her caregiver side, just basking in the freeness of living out a childhood she never had. I think she’d lean towards Rossi being her caregiver or maybe Hotch, someone she knows is trustworthy. She’ll happily be around Rossi and Hotch though, hanging out at Rossi’s big mansion with the two of them pleases her little side like no other

Sean Hotchner- flip with little lean, he doesn’t talk about it with anyone but Aaron and Spencer. That’s it. He’s usually pretty happy when small but can have a tough time when it is bent regression. He tends to go small around Reid when stressed whereas he tries to stay happy with Aaron. When he’s taking care of a little it’s always with the most protective energy ever, he would snap anyone in half that so much as breathed differently around his little. I think him and Reid switch between watching the other while they regress so Sean’s very comfortable around him.

Alex Blake- flip caregiver lean, Alex my beloved would only share her classification with Spencer, Hotch and Garcia. She just tells everyone else she’s a caregiver, she has nothing against her little space but gets very worried that someone might doubt her abilities for it. She loves regressing around Garcia, they’re so opposite that Penny seems like a magic princess to little Alex. She also adores regressing with Reid and being able to talk about certain serious stuff she wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing with others. When she’s taking care of someone (usually Spencer) it is very motherly. She’s also very serious about taking her little out to do activities not just the normal “let’s go to the park” but more so a “let’s go to the park and try to find all the different types of trees” she likes list making, that lets her jott down what her little can find. She also likes to try and teach her little words in her different languages, not ever something hard but a little phrase or how to say a favorite food they have

Ashley Seaver- little, talk about sweetheart. Omg would she just adore to curl up against someone’s side and stay there for as long as they let her. She enjoys mind working games when small, puzzles, cards, counting games, matching, things that work her brain. I think she’d be closed off about her classification but if she trusts someone she’ll have no issue being open to them. She stays around Rossi, Reid and honestly Jj, yes they don’t end up working together but they meet at some point and become fast friends who will hang out small together or Jj taking care of Ashley
