How does one start getting into astronomy ? Are there specific authors , specific books , movie or TV shows that you recommend ?

IM GLAD YOU ASKED. So. First things first, you need to understand the basics to be able to appreciate it for what it is. And secondly, if you're not on the maths side of things and don't study it, then astronomy is closely related to philosophy in certain aspects. If you're inquisitive and love philosophy, you're in the right place!!! So, when I say basics, I mean the little facts and understandings about our solar system, how galaxies work in a general manner, and what constitutes our universe. Neil deGrasse Tyson is a pioneer in this field for a reason. His books and videos on yt (his podcast star talk is my go-to) are insanely accessible. Then a book, or rather a person , I really recommend you check carl sagan. I'll have to make a different post altogether about him, but just know that my love for astronomy was fueled 100000 times over because of him. He has shaped my mind in wonderous ways. Another thing that not a lot of people talk about it stargazing!!! You don't need to live in outskirts to get clear skies that often!!! I live in a very polluted city and yet I see stars almost every day. And not only stargazing, but try and get into constellations!!!!! The way one feels when you recognize constellations is something words will never come close to explaining. Lastly, just have fun!!!! Go at your own pace. Personally, there isn't a person who wouldn't find astronomy fascinating, you just need to look in the right places!!!!!!

Hi mushie! Just saw you weren't doing well, so I have a little concept for you. Its a reworked old one, and a little (a lot) late cause I just woke up and brain not work yet, but I hope it still helps!

Alright so picture this:

A few weeks after George finally arrived in Florida, and things have settled down a little, the Dream Team finally has time to just chill together and spend time with each other, which results in a movie night.

Dream and George end up curled up together because George and Dream both just love physical contact. (If you ask Sapnap, theyve been basically glued together now after being apart for so long.)

Anyway, somewhere along the line Dream has started to draw shapes and circles on George's upper back and neck cause thats what he can comfortably reach. He doesn't really mean anything by it, he's just happy to have George close and does it absent-mindedly.

George, who is also happy to have Dream close and who does not want to move under any circumstance right now, but who is also incredibly sensitive to light tracing, is struggling.

Hes trying so hard to keep his squirming to a minimum and is biting his lip to keep any noises in. Every few minutes Dream looks at him to check if hes still awake, or if he's fallen asleep from the movie and their position, so he has to keep his expression schooled as well. Trying to keep his face relaxed when he's about to start giggling his heart out is hard.

George really doesnt want Dream to stop because, well, he doesn't want to move and lose this comfortable cuddling position right now. And... it also feels kind of nice.

And if Dream noticed he was tickling him by accident he might stop or escalate it on purpose and since George is comfy and sleepy and just wants to chill and revel in all this physical touch he tries his hardest to appear unaffected.

He can't hold back the occasional flinch or huff though, so Dream does eventually notice. But he connects the dots, so all he does is fondly pull George closer and continue.

the sweater sleeves getting too long on your arm and him finding it adorable the way you left it over your hands when it was too cold... and the jacket with the 'fender' on it omg, him catching you in the air and spinning after a gig and kissing you there just for you to be cringing right after in his chest in your shy form and him feeling all proud and like showing you off even more than just having you there with his jacket on looking fucking stunning just for him... and just another thought, i think that because he is very tall man, he would probably be bending down a little so he's your height, like to hear you better over the loud music on a night out ir just talk thru it, and that would be kind of involuntary on his part but you would find it cute, and that goes to hugs too, like he's just feeling like giving you a hug in a random place but he doesn't feel like asking, so he would bend down a bit and wait for you to come closer to him and wrap your arms around his neck.... oh, and, he having you in his jacket and to avoid any further, horny touches, he'd be running your sleeve off your shoulder so he can place one, several, kisses on your skin... 🥺

my step mom was asking me more questions about the nonbinary thing and after talking to me for a bit, she said "oh, so youre a rosé! not a chardonnay transitioning to a merlot, just your own unique type" which was such a middle aged white woman way to frame it, but i cannot lie gang. it did make me want to cry
