okay so going into this I was like “ehh I don’t know if they’ll resolve this in an hour, and I don’t know if Blue and Yellow are ready to side with Steven yet” and holy shit i was so wrong?? on both counts??? I am HAPPY to be wrong- although I do still feel like the turnaround was a little rushed, I guess that’s partly the nature of telling this story in cartoon format, like if SU was a series of novels or something we’d have more time for development <s>and also zircon would be there</s> but oh my god this episode just starts right off the bat and never lets up and it is So Much and i love it

-weird babbling dream caterpillar thing is my new favorite character lmao. what even

-BLUE? WOW? using Steven’s NAME and everything?? I can’t believe she just Did That to yellow. I love how she’s the first one to take a stand after all this time just being weepy while Yellow tells her to tough it out. thats growth.

-YELLOW CRYIGN IS ALSO GROWTH aaaaa she’s not good at the whole having feelings thing but it doesn’t mean they’re not there

-just yesterday I was talking to @demonsanddogweeds about how Keeping It Together is my favorite episode because I appreciate the low key technically-kid-friendly body horror in SU and that ep really exemplifies it, but scratch that, the fucking EYES ON WHITE’S SHIP are the scariest thing ive ever seen holy shit lady put those AWAY

-with White talking about how she’s perfect bc she’s every color (that’s how light works yaaay) I love that the ultimate fusion of Garnet Amethyst And Pearl And Steven is the EXACT OPPOSITE OF THAT? if turning gems white is removing their individuality, fusing them all together into pitch black is embracing all of them and what each one contributes to the whole (thats how ART works). holy fcuk i love obsidian. marry me
