Also wondering if I should follow up on my initial little idea of "I should buy a book with every single paycheck" especially since I seem to be actually reading books now

#finished madeline miller's circe about. a week ago and am reading a trans history book (by susan stryker iirc) #and one called golden child by claire adam; needed the trans one for a class in college and never properly read it #and found the latter at a goodwill bookstore and realized i don't read a whole lot of fiction and decided to give it a go #slowly building up a personal library; i had one before i moved out but hadnt really read anything #i had a lot of history books from school bc the profs kept retiring and giving away their own libraries they'd built up #i have pics of the shelves so i can determine if I wanna try to order the books to have them now #but ive already got a stack of 30 or so books i wanna get through first 😤 #i have a new little tree style bookshelf i got as a gift and the books i finish go on the shelf 😤 i stack em up on the floor until #i get to them; i opened up a shelf on my actual bookshelf once i moved my altar and put a bunch there #now the floor stack is slowly gonna get moved onto the actual shelf; i just need to take from the shelf first (ideally anyways) #hoatm rants
