twice in two days now i was somewhat absently listening to a song i didn't personally pick and the lyrics suddenly said amsterdam and i went ?! like a startled pokémon

#i guess andrew mcmahon has café crawled through amsterdam. ed sheeran just wants to know if you can see the stars there #the thing about the netherlands/dutch getting a mention in english language media is that it does happen. it's not unheard of at all #but it's infrequent enough that there's a little folder in my brain with each instance i personally run across archived #so to get two amsterdams in two days...... what's happening. why are you all convening in amsterdam #i still haven't recovered from rotterdam (or anywhere) by the beautiful south but at least they say it could've been anywhere #literally. in the lyrics. #*
