been writing again. i miss writing for fun aha. pain why is this guy so repressed and fucked up.

this one's about lightning n plants n blah blah symbolism stuff and i stopped writing it over two years ago but now i'm back ig. mako is having a terrible time post-canon and it's great! (for me) i dumped out some stuff that i find unusable and am hoping the rest holds up to a reasonable extent

*deep breaths* OKAY. I just saw that chapter 4 was posted and wrote down some of my theories while reading bc I jUsT kNoW I'm gonna forget them later😀. (P.s. it's been a while since I read the previous chapters so I might've forgotten some details but these are just what I thought of rn ehe):

So we know that Solaria and Darlae have been at war for a while now, but we don't know exactly why. Maybe it has something to do with their magic? Is it because Darlae has more ancient(?) magic than Solaria? Perhaps there was a misunderstanding or disagreement between both sides, or there's just something else about Darlae. Maybe it's because they have ancient magic or there's something wrong with it?? And it kind of controls the Darlaeans OR they can achieve something/fix whatever is wrong with it by killing Solarians?

BUT

Looking at the masterlist, it's divided into 4: Solaria, Darlae, the Blackwoods, and Darlaria. I think something, whether it be to achieve peace between both lands or fix whatever is broken, needs both lands to cooperate with each other.

About oc--At first, I thought she was from Darlae. Perhaps a soldier that was sent to infiltrate the Solarian camp. Either the plan was to remove her memories, earn the trust of the Solarians, regain her memories, and possibly lead the Solarians to speak or have a negotiation with Darlae. That's when it would be revealed that she's a Darlaean. Though, to be the one sent for this mission, she's probably one of the best soldiers from Darlae or holds a high rank. Probably the strategist since she's brilliant at planning battle strategies so I wouldnt be surprised to know that this was her plan and that she volunteered to do it. JK is probably the general of the Darlaean army. So, when they go to Darlae, and have a negotiation/talk, JK will reveal that they knew each other (married??together?? childhood friends?Idk. Maybe he's the one that gave her the necklace or smthn) and that she's from Darlae.

I think, perhaps, this plan was not for the downfall of Solaria, but to be on speaking terms for both sides because after all the brutality from Darlae, Solarians will find it really difficult to trust Darlae. NOW, i think maybe there's also conflict within Darlae and they're actually asking for help.

Now back to oc's origins, I initially thought she was from Darlae but i have a feeling she's not from Darlae but she's also not from Solaria. Maybe she's from a different land that's probably in ruins now after a war or conflict. And someone probably adopted or brought her to Darlae where she grew up. But about her having familiarity with Hana, it's either she was at Solaria and befriended Hana when they were younger before her homeland was destroyed, or there's someone in Darlae that's similar to Hana. OR hana's acting like she doesn't remember oc because she's kind of a mole from Darlae too that's there to accompany oc or watch over her.

As for the code, i think it's a message for oc from Darlae. Either it's timed, so she she can regain her memories on time and to complete the mission by severing the 'jewel' that's maybe her necklace(?) or it's just a message to the Solarian army.

I also think it's smart for them to not win battles continuously because the Darlaeans WILL catch on that they have new strategies and probably caught on to their plans. (Maybe the Darlaeans wanted the Solarians to play into their plan in the first place).

Anywayss, I think there's more going on especially in the magic side of things. I'm soo excited for the ✨drama✨ especially when those three finally meet.
