I have so many thoughts about Claudia and Julius and Victor raising children in isolation of the world to protect them... the way that Claudia has the most altruistic intentions but is also the most paranoid... Julius and Victor both having varying levels of using the people they’re keeping safe in gilded cages... and yet Victor is both the one who goes even further and won’t let Elle go at all and the one who hurts her the most for his own ends.

#i don’t know im just continuously shocked that ludger likes julius #like hes happy living with him and doesnt resent julius’ protectiveness until its #obvious julius is hiding something from him #and in the manga its still framed as ‘please just let me help you’ #ludger isnt isolated bc julius made him that way by force it seems like he just ended up that way bc he wanted to #meanwhile claudia and victor seem to have homeschooled their kids and probably didnt intend on letting them to talk to many ppl #i dont think claudia or victor would have taken it very well #if their overprotectiveness eventually drove their children away #i mean. well victor DOESNT take it well. we know that. we saw that #maybe this is because julius just has a lot more doubts than either of them #he isnt ludger’s parent. heck hes directly why ludger doesnt have a parent #so as much as he wants ludger safe he doesnt have the same. humour me with this word choice. entitlement as a parent #(also all that self loathing selfishness thing and the fact that ludger is a grown adult whereas pre amnesia him is a kid and so is elle) #so julius just has. better reasons to trust ludger and let him go #but i do wonder if claudia would ever let ludger live in normal society #or if she’d be too scared of spirius to ever let him #i think she might really like rieze maxia for having a way to get away from spirius #v #x2
