Appreciation Post!!! (Part 1)

I would like to take this opportunity thank all of my friends who have been very supportive to me, even during the days that I was so down in my life. I know they cannot read this, but even just on this blog, I can truly express my feelings and gratitude towards them.

First of all, To Ken (Lee, HG), Thank you for always being there for me ever since I was a college student. You have been a very understanding and supportive brother/best friend to me. I remember when we first met at Mall of Asia, we had some communication barriers due to your lack of English skills. But despite that, you still tried your best to learn the English and Filipino Language. You were the first foreign friend that I introduced to my Family and my cousins really liked you so much. You are such a kind, understanding, straightforward and very caring brother. Even though we had some mild arguments about life decision making before, we never pulled each other down. We always push each other to dream BIG and improve ourselves. You never fought back when i nag at you sometimes, hence you were just listening to me and let me finish my rants before you give your valid opinions. I also like how you treat my nieces and nephews as yours. You have already become a part of my family and I will always be grateful for the friendship and trust that you have given me. I just want you to know that I am always here for you no matter what career choices or decisions you make in life. I miss you so much brother.

To my best friend Emily (Lee, YJ), you are such a very sweet and caring friend. I really admire your courage to speak out your thoughts and to stand for what you believe is right and wrong. You are one of the most intelligent friends that I’ve had. Our 10 years of online friendship became a reality when I went to Seoul in 2018. I was really so happy when we first met. It still feels surreal to me. Furthermore, I was even more touched when you decided to visit me in Manila and chose to celebrate your birthday here with me. I am also grateful for all practical advises that you have shared to me. Whenever you mention me to your parents, It makes me feel really special. Aside from it, our connection has gotten deeper and deeper as time passes by. Hopefully I can meet your parents soon and tell them that they raised a very well mannered and sophisticated daughter. I would also like to tell you that I am always here by your side whenever you need someone to lean on. Don’t hesitate to contact me anytime and I will try my best to protect you as your best friend. You are always a special friend in my heart. I wish you all the best in your new career.

To Sebastian (Ryu, K.S), my brother and one that I consider my best friend too. Thank you for always messaging me and for motivating me to have a healthy lifestyle. I really appreciate your efforts for giving some advice about life. You are such an intelligent man with dignity and I highly respect you for that. I really admire your dedication and discipline for self improvement. You taught me that sometimes “it’s okay not to be okay” and that I should always be true to myself. We may have mood swings and some PETTY arguments sometimes but we never let our pride to take over us, hence, through collective efforts, we always support each other no matter what, and that alone makes our friendship/brotherhood very special. It helps us understand each other’s personality in a deeper level. I just wish that you may find your happiness in life especially when it comes to your career. You are still young and I can see many potentials ahead of you. Don’t rush things and be pressured just because the society dictates you to do so. I am always here for you not because I am your Hyung (Older brother) or you’re my Dongsaeng (Little brother). I am here as a best-friend that you can always rely on when you need help. Sorry If I am becoming annoying or demanding sometimes. Just think of me as a brother that is being childish sometimes. Hahaha. To be honest, even though we only just met for few months, It feels like we have known each other for decades. I just wish to travel and hang out with you someday. Hopefully next year, if time would allow us though. I just wanna let you know that I will always care for you no matter how you nag or throw tantrums at me. Your uniqueness and genuineness are what I really like about your personality. Thank you for always being understanding towards me. I will visit you in Seoul early next year, my brother.

To Steven (Baek, SW). You are one of the most down to earth friends that I’ve had in my life. You are very humble, smart and funny. You always never forget to contact me every time you visit the Philippines. I really owe you a lot when I was in Korea. You treated me well and showed me the real Korean generosity. I really miss our frequent drinking sessions few years ago. hahaha. I really appreciate your efforts every time we hang out together, may it be in Manila or in Seoul. Despite the fact that you are always tired from work, you still managed to surprise me at the airport and tour me around Seoul. I also miss your cute daughter. Hopefully, I can meet your wife the next time I come back to Korea. I just realized how responsible and good father you are to your daughter and a caring husband to your wife. I really admire your love for your family. I know you sacrificed a lot of things in life including your hospital career, but what fascinated me that most is that, I have never seen you complained or showed negativity in life. I really like how patient you are. You were the one who taught me how to control my patience when dealing with other people and stress. I will always be here for you and to your family. I want to be a good uncle to your daughter and watch her grow up as a very humble and loving person just like her parents. I really miss your family bro. I don’t know how can thank you enough for all the kindness I received from you.

To Jonah, (Lee, H.J.). Thank you for all the frequent phone calls that you make despite the different time zones that we have, between the Philippines and USA. You always include me to your plans or decisions in your life. I can feel how sincere you are as a brother/best friend. You are one of the most transparent friends that I have. I always pray for your success and for your dream to become one of the best commercial pilots in the industry. Hopefully I get a chance to ride a plane with you. You as a pilot and me as a passenger. I will be the first friend of yours that will cheer you up. I will always be proud of you no matter what. Gang up? remember this word bro? You were the first person who taught me about this word. hahahaha. Even though we are thousand miles apart, You never made me feel taken for granted. You are a very humble man. hope to hang out with you next year. You know you always have my words. When I say it, I really mean it. Thanks for everything brother. You are the coolest gangsta brother ever. Hahaha.

To Chryzel. Who would have thought that of all the people in our class, we will become very close more than anyone else. I really appreciate how you always make time to listen to me about my rants in life. I appreciate the high level of trust that you have given me. Every time you have family dinners or affairs, you always never fail to include me in the gathering. I am so happy for the warm acceptance of your family even though I am not as popular as everyone else in the University. You made me feel that I am really a part of your clan. I also like how straight forward and genuine you are as a friend. I have never experienced any judgment from you. Indeed, You are one of the friends that I can truly say very reliable in almost any aspects of life. I always wish you the best in med school. There has never been a dull moment in my life whenever I am with you. I hope to travel with you and visit your home in San Francisco. Moreover, I would like to have some good bonding with you and your husband in the U.S in the future. Thank you so much my movie and coffee buddy. My Caramel Macchiato will never be the same if I am not drinking it with you. Our all time favorite coffee forever. I really love you so much. I will always be here to help you with all the best that I can. I just wish that you and Aldron can have a baby soon, after you finish your med school. hahahaha. I will be the best uncle for your kids.
