Young!Miah and Young!Dom (20 and 22 here respectively, in current times Miah is 23 and Dom is 25)

Miah joined the mercenary business after getting kicked out of her now ex-organization in order to live and survive for a while.

Dom was a mercenary for a long time so when he met Miah and partnered up with her for missions, he essentially showed her how the business worked.

Dom had always seen Miah (called her Advali) as snappy and gloomy but on this particular day, she had been extra gloomy, so he offered a gift to cheer her up.

Unbeknownst to Dom, those flowers he gave were Miah's favorite. Dom pretty much picked up a pretty thing off the ground and assumed it would work to cheer her up. It did.

Rin's a sweetie. And by Dom's nature, he can't not like like the guy. Though, maybe Rin would be uncomfortable if he knew and Dom didn't really want their friendship to change because of it. For now, he's content with just this.

The man gets his crushes but boy does he love friendzoning himself hardcore.
