Sunguard Update: The Naga Broods

Following their victory in Zangarmarsh, the Cabal of the Dying Sun have added new creatures into their rosters. These updates directly impact the commander point options for the Naga Broods and other creatures at their disposal. More under the cut:

Mur’ghul Engineers Cost: 1 Commander Point

Bonus: Upgrades the Naga Brood into Mur’ghul Engineers, enhanced murlocks and naga taskmasters who can create fortifications and Spawning pools on the Battlefield. Decreases troop total by 30, decreases damage by -15 max and -5 mod,

Create Spawning Pool[1]: The Mur’ghul Engineers will place a spawning pool at a single location on the map. Each turn the player will roll 1d2, where the number roll determines how many squadrons of Mur’ghul Raider squads the spawning pool will create. They have 40hp, deal 1d30+5 melee damage, and can travel 40/60ft. The Spawning Pool has 100hp

Create Tidal Guardian[2]: The Mur’ghul Engineers place a Tidal Guardian turret down at a location on the map that deals 1d50+10 damage to all enemies within a 35ft radius. Tidal Guardians cannot move.

Even the meekest will rise over the strong.

Sea-Tempest Weaponry

Cost: 2 Commander Points

Bonus: Unlocks the following bonuses for each Naga Brood subfaction:

Bloodscale Myrmidons are now equipped with Sea-Tempest Tridents, allowing them to deal double damage to cavalry and resist penetrating assaults from enemy forces.

Darkcrest Tide Priestesses now have the ability to place Tidal Relics, which are totems with a 20ft aura that heal all allied players who end their turn within the aura for 1d20+5 healing.

Wrathfin Archers are now equipped with Sea-Tempest bows which allow them to deal full damage to fortified targets.

Mur’ghul Engineers are now equipped with Sea-Tempest tools, which give their creations the fortified buff.

NEW COMMANDER MODE POINTS FOR THE BLEAKLIGHT HYDRA!

Bleaklight HydraDragon TurtleRagefang ChimeraBlackblooded Bile

(Choose only One)

Dragon Turtles

Cost: 2 Commander Points

Bonus: Replaces the Bleaklight Hydra with a Dragon Turtle, granting the unit the Fortified trait. It removes the ability to attack at a range and replaces the explosion template with the conal template. Removes the base abilities of the Bleaklight Hydra

Dragon Turtles are ancient and reliable creatures. They were blessed by the Wild Gods themselves.

Ragefang Hydra

Cost: 2 Commander Points

Bonus: Replaces the Bleaklight Hydra with a Ragefang Chimera, a two headed dragon beast that soars over the battlefield. Increases Increases March and Forced March by +20ft, and grants the Flying trait.

The kaldorei once took command of the great hydras in the Third War, I would see their mastery used in our fashion.

Blackblood Bile

Cost: 2 Commander Points

Bonus: Whenever the player uses a Bile Bolt on an enemy target, it leaves behind a pool of Blackblooded Bile, dealing 1d30 damage to any enemy target that enters it.

“The hydras are dangerous and nasty creatures. Their blood makes for an extremely formidable toxin.”
