so there's an upcoming smut fic/miniseries on tumblr where the author is including a real life case of a two year old boy that was brutally murdered by two other children and that just doesn't sit right with me.

it's incredibly disrespectful, that was a real person who had his life stripped from him way too early, who's family have had to deal with an unimaginable kind of pain over his death. he's not some prop to use in a fanfic, much less a smutty one.

literally could have made up a fake crime, with a different victim and case entirely and it wouldn't effect the plot of the fic.

fanfiction is fun and creative but there has to be somewhere we draw a line between what should and shouldn't be included in it.
