One of the fun things about aus that follow canon but like,,, two steps to the left, is figuring out what can change and what stays the same.

I'm brainstorming an Owl House au that I swear I will start posting about as soon as I figure out how to introduce it, and I'm working on Hunting Palismen. In this au Hunter and Luz grew up together, so instead of the palismen nest being taken by the Golden Guard, it's taken by a squadron of EC scouts.

So now instead of a high-stakes heist with two enemies working together against a common foe, the episode is a race through the forest to the Bat Queen's territory w the psuedo-sibs using their different skills to escape the scouts and get to safety.

(There is still a fight w Kikimora at the end bc I will take any opportunity to swing something at her face With Force.)

It's just fun to see how far I can shift things around while still having it be recognizable.
