as a gift to y'all on my (not) special day, on this semi-okay monday, i am restarting my story queue 🎉

oh yes, everything the stars promised is so back! and running again at 2 posts at 8 and 9 PM EST for the time being 🥂 i'll slow it down if necessary, but 2 posts a day seems to work pretty well!

very delayed and minor story update

hiiii

i kind of dropped off the face of the earth, especially in terms of everything the stars promised! i was out of town weeks ago when the last few posts went up from the queue, and then i haven't really been around too much to update the links and all, but...

that said, my plan is to update the navigation links and also not-tzr-but-also-kind-of-tzr the last few posts, even though it's been a while, just because i'm trying to be better about the whole tzr thing!

outside of that, i'm not sure when i'll be able to post more actual story content. i have about three posts in my drafts, but i'm graduating in may, and i'm down to the last month and a half-ish of college, so i'm short on free time to write and play sims. it's basically crunch time irl while i wrap up my senior thesis. but we'll see - i might drop the updates i already have finished soon, and then i'll post more when i have the time!

#i suspect there won't be a major queue or update drop for a hot minute though #probably may or june to be honest #because i graduate and then i'm out of the country for two weeks #and the only long span of free time i'll have until late may is between exams and my graduation ceremony #ANYWAYYYYYY i wanna post something though at least some kind of content #so you might see a return of the sims 3 content or more oc lore and whatnot in the meantime #holocene.txt

hiatus (kind of)

i know i know i know, i don't really need to announce it because it's just the internet...but i feel like i should!

anyway, it's probably obvious things have been quiet on my end for a while. i haven't posted since the end of may. in all likelihood, it'll continue to be a while before i post. i am still working on a lot of story posts (rip sorry for the slow progress on that, i want more than anything to get a lot of it done and published) but there's a lot of not very good things happening in my personal life, so i don't have the energy or desire to play sims right now tbh.

and it's finally time to restart the story queue!

i'm in my final year of uni (hallelujah) and starting classes this week, which makes this a perfect time to post again! i won't have time to make many new posts, so i'll just release all the ones i've been working on :)

story update

hello friends, i haven't done a story status update in a while, but i figured it was time to do so because everything the stars promised is pretty much on semi-hiatus for the time being!

i say semi-hiatus because it's not really on pause, but updates will be quite slow for the rest of the year while i'm busy with college work. time is limited, and i have to focus my attention elsewhere.

also, i find it hard to carve out the time to make story posts because tbh engagement here on simblr has been really low lately, and notes on my current story posts are significantly lower than on older story posts and other types of content. i don't care about notes, but i don't really get asks or comments or any kind of more useful engagement beyond a handful of likes, so i can't gauge if people read the story or care about it at all. so making the story, though i am passionate about it, feels like a colossal waste of my energy right now.

so semi-hiatus it is. if there are updates, they will either be sporadic or delayed to make a longer queue.

hiatus

hello friends, i'm taking a bit of a hiatus! idk for how long but for a few days, at least, or maybe a few weeks. i have a two week long queue, so you'll see posts until then.

my family unexpectedly had to euthanize our cat yesterday morning and i am fucked up over it. i feel like my heart's been ripped out of my chest. after 15 years of perfect health, my sweet girl became suddenly ill and refused food and water, and four days later, when she went blind sunday morning, we knew it was her time to go.

it was the right decision and we were with her until the end, but to be honest, i don't know how to live without her. ariel came into our lives when i was 8 years old. she spent her entire life with me and i have spent over half of mine with her. i can't remember any time she wasn't here and i have no clue what to do with myself now. she lived a very good and very long life but it's never long enough.
