Willie Jinks was an afroamerican artist born 1921 as one of 13 children of a farmer in Locust Grove, Georgia, and died there in early April 2012. He spent most of his life in Atlanta working as a garbage collector for the removal and therefore found items that he painted after his retirement as an outsider artist. His "Hoperman figures" (Hobbyman), are famous: probably showing himself, as he did answer the phone as „Hoperman“. A special feature of his works are the inscriptions used as design. A number of his works are presented along with works by other 98 outsider artists on the Swiss website www.outsider-art-brut.ch and www.aussenseiterkunst.ch
