I’m going on record saying that I think when SV drops the Hisuian forms are going to be referred to as Sinnohan forms and prove that the Hisuian forms are in fact regional variants that exist alongside the standard ones, rather than ancestral forms that are extinct in the modern games

Edit bc I’m dumb: Exception to this has to be Voltorb / Electrode bc apricorns but a lot of the regional forms have dex entries referencing adaptations the species made to survive in Hisui specifically
