judgement of solomon | Sunny 4.4

Sunny clears his throat the milisecond that Riley asks.

But he’s interrupted by Fergus’ explosion.

“…”

Sunny is stunned into silence, all the way through Yukari’s addition. Then finally, his face sours a little, and he pantomimes a gagging motion to Riley off to the side. They’re soooo sweet. Gross.

“You guys done? Watch me Judgement of Solomon this shit.”

He actually stands up, both hands on the table as he leans forwards to give himself more presence before he can be interrupted again.

“This is just based off the answers to my funny little question. Like some one-door-lies one-door-tells-the-truth riddle.”

“Araceli couldn’t do the kill herself because– unlike our favorite himbad, Fergus, who thought he could beg for an exception– she wanted two people out and neither of them were herself.”

“‘What if she’s just lying to make herself look good, Sunny?’ Well, glad you asked! I wouldn’t put it past her! But she wouldn’t have involved some rando accomplice if she really meant to escape herself. I think Araceli’s a lotta things but sloppy isn’t one of them.”

“And Araceli couldn’t ask Fergus to help her, cus’ he’d choose the only unacceptable answer: not to save Tokki– I mean, Tsuki– but to save her. They’d fight about it. It’d be a whole divorce arc.”

He gestures with his hands to indicate 'and so on and so forth’.

“Anyways. It’s hard to believe that two people who would agonize so hard over who to save are the same people who would carelessly choose who to kill.”

“I think it’s gotta be one invested party, and one uninvested party. Maybe even a pragmatic party. Sorry Jun'ya.”
