you see, the thing with this whole mess they found themselves in, weren’t supposed to happen. the break up was supposed to be the end. the break up was the end. yet here jordan was – hiding her face from one particular person in the crowd while she did her job. was a it a fancy job? of course, it wasn’t. was it lowly? she would argue it wasn’t either. it just wasn’t for everyone so why did looking into dani’s eyes – dressed in this skimpy outfit, prepared to offer what she was going to – make her feel like the largest disappointment there was a planet earth? she tried sweeping her feelings under her rug – just like she did with everything else in her life that didn’t work out – but it was easier said and done when they were mere inches away from each other. it was only a matter of time before she had to come face to face with the other, and thank the lord ( though she didn’t believe there was one ) for how dimly lit this shabby place was.
to avoid the other’s possible eye contact, jordan stood all the way at the other end. the opposite site of wherever dani was seated. it wouldn’t ensure that they won’t meet per se, but it would buy her time. maybe if she was lucky enough, someone between them would take a liking to her then she wouldn’t have to go any closer and could just stay beside a new stranger for the night but she should have known better. life never works out the way she wants it to, and here she was, face to face with dani. her ass shaking as she gave her a lap dance while trying her best to block her face from the brunette’s vision. how embarrassing is this. / for @heroexxs

@heroexxs ft. kalina buchanan
"i told you i couldn't hang out." kalina stood, hand still firmly on the door as she looked the other over. they thought things were over between them, that kalina had pushed too far, made her feelings too obvious, but here they were anyway. "i'm not feeling good today." emotionally, sure, but physically she was fine. the last thing that kalina wanted was to be beside the person she'd had the biggest crush on in years, pretending it wasn't the loudest thing in her brain. pathetic. "i did say i was sick on the phone, right? i know we had plans, but i just— i think it's best i lay about in bed today."

anna sank into her girlfriend's lap and fixed the end of her dress. "i have half a mind to drag you off to the bathroom right now with the way you've been looking at me for so long now..." she laughed and pressed a kiss to her girlfriend's lips. "i can't believe i pulled this all off for them. i'm going to sleep for a week after this," she murmured against ellie's lips and nudged their noses together. / @heroexxs

" okay, no more pictures for today. " there's a glint of amusement playing on melody's features as slender fingers reach for the other's phone, presisng a gentle kiss to his cheek before doing so. " you're probably get tired of my face eventually with all the pictures you take of me, " she teases, lying back against the matress with a small giggle as she scrolls absently through them. " and they all look exactly the same too. "

"Lucas, let go of your brother!" Karlie yelled from the bottom of the stairs as she heard the same squeals. She walked back to the kitchen where her niece was sitting at the island waiting peacefully. If only she'd had girls. "So Cass, how did you sleep?" She asked the little girl when her cousins returned to play fighting above them, she jogged to the bottom of the stairs. "Lucas and Spencer Hudson, stop fighting right now." she yelled and their noises continued. "Boys!" She yelled just as her husband walked in from the yard. "Brody can you get them, they're at it again."

being with val was impossibly easy - despite the tragic chaos that had spun a pretty tangled web before her. the subtle softness that came paired along with the attention with the blonde, had proven itself to provide the safest place to fall. a stark contrast to her ex husband, that made her feel trapped and unworthy. and then there was val - and though there had been a little overlap, melanie couldn't find it in herself to feel bad about it. val had instilled such a gentle happiness, that mel was unwilling to let herself squander. so - she held on. when she pulls her right out of her concentration, she only beams, a warmth pumping through her veins when they other so much as looked at her a certain way. "never," she shook her head, a widening smile tugging across her features, and she's reminded that she would risk it all for val in an instant all over again. "she wants ten chapters to show the publisher," she huffs, leaning back against the headboard, rolling her head in the others direction. "but, i still have a few days - you know how much better i do under pressure," her brows wiggled, leaning over to steal a lingering kiss from the other.

the blonde received a number of texts and even a phone call or two from her husband, but she ignored him completely. she didn’t think he would be worried about her and she knew he would be furious when she finally got home, but she didn’t care. it had been a long day spending time around her father and a number of things he said to her stung enough to push her towards one too many drinks. damian wouldn’t completely understand, nor did she want to talk about it. besides, they weren’t exactly the married couple who talked about things.
truth be told, she wasn’t even sure what time it was when juliet stumbled through their front door with the door shut behind her. unfortunately, she wasn’t all that quiet, accidentally slamming the front door shut. “fuck,” she whispered the curse to herself. a hand reached out to brace herself against a nearby wall before hearing footsteps marching in her direction. without looking up in his direction, her heels were kicked off and she guided herself along the wall, stumbling a little as she moved. “just… don’t yell, okay? i have a headache and i think i’m going to be sick.”

“Hey help me out here will you?” TJ asks already knowing it’s Jessie before she even appears. The sight the other walks in on is TJ trying to suture a deep cut on their own finger, medical supplies strewn about the corner of the firehouse she was tucked away in. “I would ask the new medic, but he’s a real pain in the ass.”

"you should probably go soon." joss hated the words as soon as they were out of her mouth. when did she become this girl? the one who constantly felt like she had to micro-manage her boyfriend's feelings. she supposed she'd always been a little more on the meek and shy side, at least, but a total pushover? maybe part of the shame she felt came with being this way in front of val. she'd just solved her problem, fixing the television she was sure she'd somehow irrevocably destroyed with her apparent lack of technology knowledge and she felt guilty about liking that she was the one who came to her rescue. he hated val and she was pretty sure the feelinng was mutual. "my boyfriend finally texted back. he's gonna leave soon and come over, i guess once his game is done..." whenever that would be.

{ @heroexxs x }
"Kev, don't," Her tone is still sympathetic but now, with the intention of absolving away his guilt—even if she wasn't physically able to do so. Maintaining the safety of their family was the most important thing to them and moving was the least of their concerns. But alot of planning had to be done, with a cautious perspective. "You were barely an adult when you got mixed up and into all this nonsense. You could not have predicted this." Part of Leona still wished she had known about his dealing when they begun dating, but their outcome could've changed (though, looking back now, she knew she would have been a walking contradiction to her morals. Life was about taking risks, afterall. It didn't define him and would've loved him the same.) "We've always tried to shade the kids away from danger, but in life, you can't protect them from everything. Trust me, I wish," And it makes her sigh once again. They're her babies. He's her rock. Her family is her home, even if they have to relocate miles or cities away. "But, I suppose til we have to move, we might as well have low maintenance security-- just-- just to keep us both at bay with a temporary peace of mind. Especially on Jon's graduation day." It makes her more anxious just thinking about it. Where was that cigarette from earlier?
Kevin wrapped his arms around her and she couldn't help but nuzzle, even if they were sitting against the uncomfortably hardwood kitchen chairs, because nonetheless it's a comforting feeling. She ALWAYS wants him around even if he think it's best to leave. In her eyes, it's not. She'd like to respectfully reprimand him for thinking so absurdly, but it's late, and there is no point (especially since Leona didn't like doing it last time). After twenty years of this long-term relationship and speaking sense into one another, he knows the familiar look in her eyes instead-- it will ALWAYS be you and me against the world, (even if that's another cliche saying). A moment of silence filled the air as Leona began to subconsciously play with the casual collar of his night-shirt, admiring the texture of the soft fabric and grounding feeling of his warmth. It kept her distracted but Leona still thought about all the possibilities ahead.
"A vacation at the beginning of the summer sounds like a good idea," Her voice dipped as she turned her head towards the hallway, having thought she heard footsteps approaching-- noting that this would be the worst time to lie to their kids. With a hum, she looked back at Kevin, with the certainty there was nobody there. "I have nowhere I want to particularly live in, as long as we've got everything we need, and a library, and snow at Christmas time." Taking a plane or a train anywhere might arise suspicions but if they had to travel that far and out of danger, they just might have to risk it even further. "I would say we should go somewhere more than a few hours away, however, we don't want to go too far or stay too close. If you give me the directions, I will do most of the driving. I've noticed your mid-day naps and don't mind taking the reigns." With a soft chuckle, Leona pressed a kiss to his cheek before deciding to shut her eyes and rest her head back against her husband's shoulder. All this talk made her more awake than tired. In the end, they would figure it out and she wholeheartedly believed it. Did someone really want Kevin dead? "If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you like to go?" This wasn't just about her, so, she asked him back.

rose never thought she'd be back in her hometown. she also never thought she'd end up divorced either. but here rose was, officially back home and reeling from a nasty divorce. she was happy to be back but she was also nervous. she wasn't the same girl she had been when she left. she was older and she had a daughter, julia that she loved more than anything. julia was probably the only good thing that had come out of her relationship with her ex-husband. so, yeah, it was safe to say that rose spoiled julia and gave her everything she could want.
when halloween rolled around, rose made sure to get julia all dressed up in her costume and then go trick or treating. they'd end up trick or treating for a while but it was getting late. still, there was one more house that julia wanted to visit and rose was unable to say no. so they made their way to the house and rang the doorbell, julia quick to yell out "trick or treat!" as soon as the door opened. rose's smile faltered when she saw who it was now standing on the other side of the door and holding onto a bowl of candy. "miles?" rose called out the name of her high school sweetheart. "is that you?"

THE CAFÉ WAS a regular spot that charlotte would go to do paperwork, read, or grab coffee. most weekends she would see the man standing in front of her in line doing the same. he never interacted with anyone and kept to himself, but she had certainly noticed him. today he seemed particularly annoyed with the teenaged barista and charlotte couldn’t help but intervene. “i’m sure he didn’t mean anything by it.” the blonde gave the employee a look and they scurried off to make the man’s order. “poor kid. he’s probably been here since they opened. he’s just burnt out, you know? this place is crazy on saturday's.” charlotte rationalized, biting her bottom lip. hopefully he didn’t take her interference the wrong way.

@heroexxs meet angelina george inevitable withdrawal.
angelina was pretty certain she had been hallucinating. she'd been on tour for four months now, it made sense that she was burning out, day in and day out working. she wasn't taylor swift for christ's sake, a little light visual hallucinations were normal, right? she had to be, because she was fairly certain she'd seen her ex in the front row of the crowd, not just once or twice, but the whole show. she finished changing after the show and found vivienne, her publicist and confidante extraordinaire.
the two hurried from the backstage area, viv running down the schedule twice before she pushed into the big, overly decorated space were the fans from the meet and greet were standing. angelina hardly had a moment to process the excitement from her entrance when she spotted them again. this wasn't a hallucination, she knew that much was true.

she sat up in the bed against the headboard and grinned in morgan's direction as she pulled the sheet up over her frame. "i can't believe i'm in rome right now, with you. like what the hell? this is almost like a dream..." she reached forward to pull morgan on top of her and leaned up to press a kiss to the other woman's lips. "hi," she rasped against her lips and sighed. "this hotel is fucking gorgeous." / @heroexxs

" you know that if anyone finds about this my head will probably end up on a spike, right ? " maybe things wouldn't get that bad, but kaiden knew the consequences of such a revelation, and the last thing he wanted was to get his father into any kind of trouble. " i mean i'm not saying i regret it, i'm just saying that it's probably best if you know, we keep this between us."

unsurprisingly dove had jumped at the chance to spend the night at karaoke for jade’s birthday, immediately helping with a good majority of the planning and organising in between busy days at college. in typical theatre kid fashion she’d been spending the night doing every fifth song or so with whoever was too nervous to go up alone, hardly able to keep her mouth shut even when someone else was singing on their own. the only reason she didn’t spend the whole time making her voice hoarse was the sight of scotty, sitting off to the side, looking like he’d rather do something else. dove gravitated over there naturally, a little smirk on her lips as she rested her drink on his table, nudging him with her elbow. “what’s your song, hm?” she asked, brows raising playfully. “i’ve always wondered if you had a set of pipes underneath the muscle and the scowl. i can imagine you as a troy bolton type, y’know, secretly talented.”
