somewhere in me there’s an essay about the barricade moments as a metaphor for the larger, tenuous relationship of trust between louis & his fans & why that’s so fascinating to me

#hearing louis speak about the barricade on zach sang was really insightful #a concert is transactional and i don't mean that in a cynical way #but that both louis and the fans are receiving and giving something #and there's naturally a trust to that #but at the same time #louis has been in the spotlight for over a decade and has no doubt had that kind of trust broken before #and some fans frequently act in ways that i personally feel cross boundaries #yet that larger sense of trust remains #hence tenuous #just like the way that the barricade interactions toe the line between appropriate and inappropriate behaviour #(from a social norms POV not necessarily a consent one) #anywayysss #v interesting #louis tomlinson meta #that's my tag lol
