#. 🦴 #i know that even the first two ones that i like are marvels fault but this feels especially shitty #why do they hate fun now. why do they hate just having a good time making big things small and small things big #why do we need everything to lead to another fucking thing #not to become too bitter about literally the most overproduced piece of commercial moviemaking in history but #what must it be like. to be a director who had fun making stuff in the first two movies that feels standalone and entertaining #and then having to connect these smaller scale stories with a whole universe of shit u just dont care about #having to take what u work on and take a certain pride in and dedicate your time to. just for someone else to tell u to cut on the fun and #just add links to another property to secure that spending from the audience #idk man. im really happy for edgar wright for having gotten out when he could #but peyton reed.... ive listened ti his commentary track on antman 1 and 2 and he sounded like he actually had fun making these #he was so proud of the real sets in antman 2. of the fun concepts for the fight in antman 1 in cassies room #and from a filmmaking standpoint its nice to listen to a director enjoying what they do #and maybe he enjoyed making this one! but how can i know. when it all sounds so unappealing
