just watched takt op after putting it of for like, 2 years at least. its so good?? if ur a fan of improbable post apocalyptic situations u will like this. if ur a fan of music too and have Thoughts abt how it affects ppl's lives u will like this. i just have some things to say abt this anime as soon as i finished; ill try not to spoil major plot points.
first of all, it was enjoyable. the character dynamics are very fun and almost found family, tho i think they messed up here by adding some unnecessary romance. that being said, the way they develop as people implicitly strengthens their bond to each other which i think is what makes them likable. tbh, i thought takt was only really good for eye candy for the first two or so episodes, but the aforementioned developments rlly helped me like him. hes like a tsundere, kind of.
second, imo the whole anime has an underlying sense of tragedy. the premise is that aliens get on earth and wreak havoc bc they hate music, so humanity turns music into a weapon to fight these things. its a tragedy i think, the way music is supposed to be for pleasure and relaxation (this is directly mentioned in the anime) yet its been turned into war and destruction. apart from that, the way the characters are made to go on their journey is also a tragedy, a sense of doom at the end of their paths which the anime makes you forget as they develop, right up until it's important. i think they handled this well.
my biggest complaint is the relationship turn in the last two episodes where [SPOILERS: both women who traveled with him and established that fun dynamic, which i like, kiss the main character which i didnt like]. honestly, it was unnecessary to me because their relationship was, in my eyes, developing like a found family. so that threw me off because... yeah. i guess if youre into that thing, it makes it more tragic, but for me i didnt like it.
as much as i speak about the underlying sense of tragedy and doom in the anime, it is overall an anime of hope and a love for music. i think the message is to keep loving the things that make you human, break free from the tragedy of the past and grasp the future with your hands even if that thing you grasp is the very thing that caused you pain before. in this case, it's music, which logically is something we could live without, but we're human. we arent exactly logical. we yearn for music and we yearn to listen and share it.
ok i just dumped a lot of thoughts here but really, i enjoyed it. to add, the characters are very pretty. if i were to give it a rating... 9/10? im no critic, so this judgment is pretty high compared to others but i believe it deserves this rating. i do think it tried to compile a lot in 12 episodes, because the villain of the whole thing is pretty underexplained, but the focus on the protagonists' development drive the story.
RAAAAH take this as a viewers observations, im no professional!! i do hope u enjoy iy if u do watch it!
