Considering that Fire hasn't had a grand unit in quite a while now, I could see Grand Wilnas or Grand Percival coming out soon. Percy definitely seems like the most likely knight to get the next grand since he's the most popular of the bunch. Though, if the next event does feature Percival and Lamorak finally running into each other, they might wait to release a Grand Percy until after that.

tbh for the dragon i would have expected their Grand to come out before their respective U&F elemental: like Fediel came out right before Dark!U&F

.... but we have no idea if there's going to be another U&F after Dark!U&F, they haven't announced it which is unusual, and there's been rumors they may want to stop U&F all together since it has grown extremely unpopular since the mechanisms changed bc of the yakuza (yeah because we're playing a normal gacha), and the anni event is happening in what should be in between two U&F, and focusing on Geo, knowing he's the only chara who ever voiced that U&F was an aberration he wanted to bring an end to.

so the idea of "maybe Grand!Wilnas would come out before Fire!U&F" would have been my go to if we weren't in total uncertainty about the future of U&F.

So as a result, yeah, i could see Grand!Wilnas come out soon.

Percival seems to be likely to be the knight with the next Grand, yeah, between his popularity and the fact that the most recent Kishi's units have been Lancelot, Vane and Siegfried, so technically Percival is next in line for a newest unit.

But that said, yeah, i really hope they are saving a GrandPercival for AFTER he learns what Lamorak is doing at least. Like Grand!Lancelot worked as "in preparation" to what was to come since it was all about steeling Lancelot over his loyalty, which was one of his biggest character's focus before, and probably needed to steel it before jumping into all the consequences of Feendrache's dark past.

But for Percival, currently his character arc is mostly stagnant, and his Light FE is already the one setting up "my relationship with Aglovale is getting better but i wonder what's Lamorak is doing". It was already used to prepare Savior of Dalmore and Percival hasn't appeared in a new Kishi centric storyline (ie not the fun events, the "main plot" of the kishi saga) ever since, not even in related FE outside of flashbacks.

Getting a new Percival unit before he is made aware of what Lamorak is doing would just be a redo of his Light!FE and i thought it would be a major waste.

While at least setting up after he learnt Lamorak turned evil, even if Lamorak doesn't get a redemption *yet*, could put back into focus his own issues he had to deal with, when it comes to the family he swore to never abandon and the things he swore to protect, and his determination in not wanting to sacrifice one for the other, trying to protect everything even if it's unrealistic. That was the major thing he had to overcome in his 5*, the same way Lancelot's 5* was about putting into question how far his loyalty went.

But imo to address that again with Percival it needs to be because something shook his determination, and knowing about Lamorak should be that catalyst. And thus, just like Grandcelot was about remembering all he learnt and refreshing his journey so far, this should be what Grandcival is about.

So i reALLY hope Percival doesn't get a grand until that point. While i'd eat it up, i'd be really upset if it's not the case just because they rushed it for the fans lol.

That said a Fire Grand is indeed long overdue. I'm checking the list but i think the last Fire Grand we had were in 2020, so, two years ago (Mugen then Reinhardtsar).

Looking at the list of Grands, only Wind is also lagging behind with its last Grands having came out in 2019 so they may take precedence before a new Fire Grand, which should leave time for Wilnas and/or Percival.

so yeah. Wilnas maybe soon depending on how the whole U&F turns out and if they're just teasing us by not releasing a new date, and hopefully Percival at the end of the year.

EDIT: THOUGH ALSO I FORGOT but since a lot of Grand chara are main story chara there’s a chance the next Fire Grand may be the Scarlet Knight, since one of the latest Main Story chara added to the Grand pool was the Golden Knight (Earth). So there’s that too, as a possibility.

but yeah i think in short that 2022 may be the year of Wind and Fire Grands. let’s see how that goes.
