Okay so funny enough, even before I saw a recent post by the creator of HGS about he he's been feeling about it and the reception it got for the past 3 years, I have thought about doing a picture of redesigning a character from a simple design changes to "Bro, this might as well be a new OC at this point. ^^;". Rosemary was my choice due to the amount redesign videos that happened during the release of the series. :0

I didn't want to use existing redesigns other folks have made in the past so I went the extra mile and made the two redesigns show in this picture myself. (And did it my own weird way because of course I did)

Now, I'm not saying there is anything wrong with making redesigns but if the OG elements is so far removed, it might as well be a new character at this point. ^^; (Which hey, Free new OC. ^o^)

Anyways, I drew this in IbisPaint and finished it off in FireAlpaca!

PORTO SAN GIORGIO – L’estate non ferma il cammino di Non a Voce Sola, la rassegna di poesia, narrativa, filosofia, arte e musica al femminile approda a Porto San Giorgio, Venerdì 25 agosto alle 21.15, nella accogliente cornice di Piazza Matteotti. E’ il secondo appuntamento sangiorgese, dopo il successo con Serena Dandini, piazza Matteotti accoglierà due ospiti d’eccezione: Riccardo Iacona e Chiara Giacobelli.

 Chiara Giabobelli è scrittrice e  giornalista . Ha all’attivo ben nove libri e “Un disastro chiamato amore” è il suo romanzo d’esordio. Tiene un blog culturale sull’Huffington Post e scrive per varie testate tra cui il gruppo  Qn-La Nazione-Il Giorno-Il Resto del Carlino, Affari Italiani, Bell’Italia, In Viaggio.

Riccardo Iacona è giornalista e conduttore televisivo. Dopo aver ottenuto la laurea in discipline dello spettacolo all’Università degli Studi di Bologna diviene aiuto regista nel periodo tra il 1980 e il 1987 sia per il cinema che la televisione. Dal 1987 inizia a lavorare per Rai 3, inizialmente in Scenario di Andrea Barbato, poi in Duello ed infine in Samarcanda, Il Rosso e il Nero e Tempo Reale di Michele Santoro.Nel 1996 lascia la Rai assieme a Santoro per diventare un autore dei programmi Moby dick e Moby’s su Italia 1. Ritorna in Rai ancora insieme a Michele Santoro con cui continua la collaborazione lavorando in Circus e Sciuscià.

Si occupa generalmente di giornalismo d’inchiesta ed ha realizzato numerose trasmissioni, trasmesse da Rai Tre, su varie realtà della vita italiana, quali ad esempio: W gli sposi, W il mercato, W la ricerca e la serie di inchieste W l’Italia nel marzo 2006. Nelle tre puntate di Pane e politica, trasmesso da Rai Tre nel marzo 2007, viene descritta la politica italiana del nuovo millennio in tre diversi contesti: una città (Catanzaro), una regione (il Consiglio regionale della Calabria), per giungere infine al parlamento nazionale. Dal 2009 conduce su Rai Tre il programma di inchiesta Presa Diretta.

Saranno, quindi, due giornalisti i protagonisti della tappa sangiorgese. La giovane Chiara Giacobelli nelle vesti di scrittrice presenterà  il suo romanzo di esordio: Un disastro chiamato amore. Un libro coinvolgente che ha come protagonista Vivienne, metafora di giovane donna contemporanea a metà  fra Bridget Jones e Kerry Bradshaw di Sex and City. Saranno le peripezie di questa aspirante scrittrice che tenta di destreggiarsi fra una vita affettiva fallimentare e una vita professionale disastrosa  a galvanizzare l’attenzione del pubblico. Con ironia e leggerezza, Chiara Giacobelli, regge il ritmo della narrazione e crea un romanzo accattivante e riuscito.  La stessa protagonista è un modello di giovane donna padrona del proprio destino. Vivienne è, quindi, un esempio di forza e potenza femminile, ed è proprio il fil rouge della rassegna, la potenza,  a fare da raccordo fra i due interventi della serata, che a prima vista potrebbero sembrare assolutamente lontani.

Riccardo Iacona assecondando la sua vocazione al giornalismo di inchiesta, ha all’attivo diversi reportage  sul femminicidio e sulla prostituzione. Le inchieste sono anche libri che, già, dal titolo indicano la differente prospettiva di questi fenomeni, spesso, sottovalutati e minimizzati. Con “Se questi sono gli uomini” e “Utilizzatori Finali“, il giornalista oltre a ricostruire le vite delle vittime della violenza maschile( la famosa violenza di genere), raccoglie le testimonianze di coloro che la violenza la compiono, gli uomini maltrattanti. Uomini normali, padri di famiglia, illustri professionisti, esemplari membri delle comunità che nel chiuso delle proprie case maltrattano, schiavizzano, violentano, uccidono le compagne, le fidanzate, le mogli.

Quali sono le radici della violenza? Il problema è affrontato in maniera adeguata? Questi uomini rappresentano una minoranza irrilevante o sono la falange armata di un sentire comune? Le loro testimonianze sembrano indicare che il problema sia squisitamente culturale frutto di una cultura diffusa e di una inadeguata educazione sentimentale ed affettiva. Ma, sarà l’appuntamento del 25 agosto a cercare di rispondere ai tanti interrogativi sul femminicidio e sulla prostituzione, due fenomeni che sembrano lontani, ma hanno una comune radice.

L’incontro è promosso dal Comune di Porto San Giorgio e dall’Assessorato alla cultura e alle Pari Opportunità. La Rassegna rappresenta la decima tappa del percorso di Non a Voce Sola, festival itinerante ed annuale nel panorama regionale.  Il festival è promosso dalla  Regione Marche, dalla Commissione Pari Opportunità Regionale, dall’ISTAO, dall’Università di Macerata, dall’Università di Camerino e dall’Università Politecnica delle Marche.

E’ stata supportata economicamente anche da numerosi ed illuminati imprenditori privati del territorio regionale marchigiano, che hanno dimostrato particolare sensibilità nel partecipare a questo percorso sulla Potenza del femminile: Gissy Shoes, Sollini, Label 2009, Elsamec, Menghi Shoes, Tacchificio ValdichientiPlast, Coface, Eros Manifatture, Roana, MS Auto, Macero Maceratese, Quota CS, Nuova Simonelli, ET Marche, EuroGraf e Simonelli Cinture.

HAPPY SMRPG RELEASE DAY!!

As some of you may know, there's a huge Super Mario RPG Art Collab that was hosted by Thinginator! It was in celebration for the remake coming out this year!! I had the honor of joining this wonderful collaboration and joining Chef's Apprentice. ^o^ It was also my first time drawing a Koopa Troopa, fun fact! :D
