A few weeks ago I had the privilege of serving on the faculty at the National Gift Basket Convention in Phoenix, AZ. I was asked to teach several classes on subjects like Retail Storefronts, Merchandising, Contemporary Designing with Boxes, Working with Vendors, Product Curation, and Corporate Gifting. I was thrilled to connect with nearly 200 other gifting professionals from all over the country, and as far away as Canada and Australia. Being in the presence of so many brave, bold, and talented entrepreneurs, was incredibly energizing. I also met several new vendors, whose products I can’t wait to add to our selection of outstanding local, #californiamade gifts! On the closing day, super talented professional photographer, @sarahhoagphotography captured this shot of me and what now has become my signature carry-all from @apolis . Thank you, Sarah for making me and so many others feel so comfortable! The entire experience reminded me just how important it is to surround yourself with people who believe in you, share your passion, and will support you, even in the most turbulent of times (aka Holiday madness!).
