Who’s an author you love to read? I have a few, but one that’s been high on my list is Brandon Sanderson. I’ve been devouring Cytonic, his latest in the Skyward series. #getunderlinedpartner @getunderlined This book feels a bit different than the other books in the series since Spensa heads off to the nowhere in search for answers on the delvers, the Cytonic, and everything else. I’m only 100 pages in and it’s surprising where this one is going. Of course, there’s new friends and M-Bot to keep her company and the adventures just don’t stop. I’m so in love with this series and it just gets more interesting with each book! I’ll definitely be reading more today because it’s just so good. Do you like to dance? Even at home by yourself? I’m a huge fan of dancing when no one is looking and my most recent read, Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon, kind of got me on my feet. Thanks @getunderlined for the gifted book (#getunderlinedpartner). This was such a sweet story with some serious convos and a surprising ending. I absolutely loved Evie, her friends, her family, and of course, her dance partner X. Evie’s going through a really rough patch with her parents splitting up. In fact, she believes that love isn’t real so much that she donates all her romance books to a Little Free Library. But when a strange lady tells her to take the Instructions for Dancing booklet inside the LFL, Evie starts a journey to understanding what it means to fall in love and the risks we all take in love. I loved reading this and thank @scsreads for the motivation to read it. It was so cute, surprising, a little sad, and very bittersweet. I also loved the depictions of LA and the beach. I loved the big convos it had about divorce and learning your parents are human too. It was also exactly what I needed to get out of a little mental funk I found myself in. Nothing says self care to me more than a lovely book like this. It’s probably my new favorite from Nicola Yoon!
