just decided to write a fairly short thing to officially have a post on this sb, so yeah. post-campaign Alanis stuff. sorry for any formatting errors, i pasted this straight from google docs

Alanis looked over the various scraps of paper and photos once more. She sighed and swiped a hand across her forehead to wipe any sweat off. She rearranged one or two and the strings that matched. Maybe if she had done this or maybe if she hadn’t done that…. It was pointless and stupid really. She felt tempted to get something to smoke, but she had promised herself that she’d cope through therapy and had gone mostly sober ever since, only getting the occasional contact high from Moonshine or the university students.

All those timelines had shown that Thiala was so far gone and had to go down. No reorder of events or additional words would’ve been enough. Maybe before they had gotten to what was the Nine Hells. Or maybe it was all her fault for insisting Ilsed be revived. She tore down a few pieces of paper, removing them from her internal equations. Nothing could be changed and now there was yet another husk floating in the Astral Plane. It was one of those things she’d just have to live with for the rest of her long, elven days.
