In the west of Lirrin lies the Valley of the Viscachas, part of the larger Chinchillith range. Valley Viscachas are closely related but a distinct species from their more widespread cousins, the Hills Vischachas. Valley Viscachas are found only within the valley that bears their name.
Valley Viscachas do not hibernate and are active year-round, as the microclimate of the valley shelters them from the harshest of the Chichillith winter weather. The best time for visitors to observe Valley Viscachas is shortly after dawn, when the Viscachas can be found sunbathing and grooming.
I’m Angela, an author and illustrator who likes to do a bit of everything, including books, comics, and editorial. I’m currently working on THE TRAVELER’S GUIDE TO GEOZOOLOGY, a graphic novel about a girl traveling across a landscape made of giant animals (see above) in search of her missing grandmother.
