Viburnum Tinus. I waited 4-5 years for this plant to even show one set of blossom. Plants under a large Apple tree in dry shade I saw it struggle from 2 foot high and was expecting the worse and having to transport it to the great compost in the sky. After year 5 there was the occasional bloom but still not a success story. A cypress conifer plant next to the VT had long gone. Now after 7 years the VT is 9 for high and showing twice a year. It is probably my favourite for giving colour at full times.
