uhhhh this has two answers but they both kinda boil down to the same thing? still:

with Percy's gear, I mostly picked stuff I'd wear irl (zekko hoodie, mawcasins)? the octoking facemask was actually an accident; I put it on at one point shortly before I finished octo expansion the first time and it just Stuck

and with dexter's set I just picked out stuff I liked/think is neat in-game
